12 Aug 17 UTC Congrats on the solo, Hopps(Italy).
@Fortress(Russia), were you intentionally trying to throw the win to him?
12 Aug 17 UTC Ugh two misordered lost that game- can't believe I supported the wrong person into GOL, and even worse when I accidentally moved to channel.

Italy I would congratulate you, but with Austria not playing it's hardly a class win
12 Aug 17 UTC No obviously he wasn't - for some bizarre reason Germany you tried to put Russia out of the game!
12 Aug 17 UTC I thank Germany's silly orders for my solo
12 Aug 17 UTC The stab on France in particular was excellent
12 Aug 17 UTC I loved the GoL misorder France hahaha - in the midgame I thought you had me tbf
12 Aug 17 UTC gg all :)
12 Aug 17 UTC @Hopps(Italy): I needed to put Russia out of the game because he was continuing to attack Northwest at a time when he should have kept his 2 remaining units on the frontline against Italy. If he would have done that instead, I would have support-holded his two survivors between you and me.
12 Aug 17 UTC Yep Russia said "fuck germany" when he certainly was still in the draw
12 Aug 17 UTC I guess maybe... I thought Russia was trying to play for being in the draw as a lone unit in Berlin. Right side of the stalemate line.

In the end I'd observe that you taking Berlin back cost you.
12 Aug 17 UTC As soon as you kept going for me after Italy was alreadu going for a solo, I knew the only way I was going to be a part of a draw is to get across the line. WHen you kept going after me, I decided to throw to Italy.
12 Aug 17 UTC You moved into Livonia while I was the only power seriously trying to stop Italy from dominating in A1905, and that ruined any chance of me trying to hold him off. My only chance for a decent outcome was to take Berlin.
12 Aug 17 UTC Yeah exactly. I saw your game plan Russia!
12 Aug 17 UTC I have absolutely zero desire to suicide myself into some other guy in order to help other people get a draw.
12 Aug 17 UTC Couldn't you have held Warsaw and Moscow, Russia?
12 Aug 17 UTC Not when Germany as taking them from me. Germany took Moscow long before Italy did, and already had two units in Livonia and Stp long before Italy was anywhere close to being a threat to those centers. If I had just holed up there, I would have elminiated, and it would have been a FGI draw.
12 Aug 17 UTC Yeah going for Berlin was a smart play
13 Aug 17 UTC @Hoppy(Italy): As you can see from Fortress(Russia's) comments, Fortress(Russia) went after Berlin as a form of throwing the game to you, and my needing to eliminate him by taking Berlin back was then necessary because by then Fortress(Russia) was only going to be counter-productive to the anti-solo cause. Fortress(Russia) had apparently gotten pissed six moves earlier than that, when I had moved to Livonia back in Au'05.

However, he's wrong in thinking that putting up a fight against you would have been "suicide". In fact, the course of action he took caused himself to get eliminated; whereas, if he had stood up and fought against you at Sev/Rumania, he would have been kept in a 4-way draw.

And then, in spite of Fortress(Russia) throwing the game to you, we still would have had an acceptable outcome (elimination of Fortres(Russia) and a stalemated 3-way draw) if not for tater(France's) accidental mis-order into Channel instead of MAO. So Hoppy(Italy), you received gifts from both sides.
13 Aug 17 UTC Germany, holding up at Sevastopol and Rumania would not have lead to any good outcome. I never wanted to throw the game to Italy until you made it clear you wouldn't let me a part of the stalemate line. You were going to Moscow and Warsaw, and I challenge you to give me a moveset that allows me to keep Rumania and Sevastopol from Italy.

Also, when faced with a solo threat, a smaller power should try to become essential to the stalemate line needed to keep the largest power from soloing. Me holding in Rumania and Sevastopol does not accomplish this, as Italy can take Sev and Rum and still not be a solo threat, as long as you hold Moscow and Warsaw.

In Moscow, even holding Moscow and Warsaw wouldn't make be part of the line, as Moscow and Warsaw lie clearly on the eastern side of the stalemate line. The only center I could that would put me on the other side of the line would be Berlin, which I did take. However, you tried to kick me out of it as soon as I got it.
13 Aug 17 UTC The phase directly before I made moves towards Berlin, you took St. Petersburg from me, and you tried to take Moscow from me. You gave absolutely no signal that you wanted me to try to focus on Italy, and you were making moves that indicated to me that you wanted me gone.

If that isn't what you meant to signal, then you need to more caerfully consider your moves in gunboat. I can't read your mind to determine what you want. I can only read what moves you make, and the moves you were making against me were just as hostile as Italy's were.
13 Aug 17 UTC I completely agree with Russias analysis of that section of this game tbf
