02 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: You may.
02 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1902: My apologies. I thought for sure I built a fleet. I will move it to Syria and will disband at first opportunity.
09 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: @Turkey. Just realized where you can retreat to. Well Played Sir.
09 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: I appreciate your support.
12 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Yeah. That army is totally not a pain in the butt... :\
12 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: While im at it. Rip France to Italian army
12 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: If I was Italy I'd keep fleet Ionian. Much better.
12 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Italy owns Berlin, there is something new...
12 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Germany played this like an idiot, and sadly took me with him.
12 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: He also gave up. Sad!
14 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Very fun and exciting game guys! Im lucky I drew the nation I wanted :)
15 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1905: France, why not let me have Paris? I could see a benefit for all of us, I come bearing much better wine and cheese...
15 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1905: that's an insult.
15 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1905: Hahahahaha
17 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ay Hoy! The French stab the Russians!
17 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: Wait. I thought we all conceded to Russia.
17 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: I am happy to 3 way draw with Austria and France :)
17 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: Don't forget Italy good sir
17 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: Not a stab. Just reclaiming our territorial waters. What am I gonna do from here? Your nc fleet build made me defensive.
17 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: Booooo italy
17 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: I shall trust the French once more as they only want to keep their people safe!
17 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: Bloody flippin hell, what does everyone have against the damn Italians?! This is why Mussolini rose!
18 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: **tuneless whistling**
18 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: you will wait 7 more hrs!
18 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: That's pretty petty Italy
18 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1907: Apologizes queen, may I keep my head?
18 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1907: ....I put my chances at about 10%. What do you two think?
18 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1907: Russia and Austria seem to be butthole buddies I say they go for the two way draw or Russia solo
18 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1907: Maybe you can force them to a 3 way draw, good luckmy friend
19 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1907: Oi watcha call me son? Yeah lets 3 way
19 Jul 17 UTC Can we back up and make it a five way?
19 Jul 17 UTC ^^
19 Jul 17 UTC Barring a serious misplay by one of the players, this game will almost certainly be a draw. France needs five additional centers to win the game, most likely Norway, Denmark, Kiel, Sweden, and St.P. Munich is guaranteed to be retaken by Austria in next Autumn. France will be unable to push deep enough quickly enough before the Austro-Russian army superiority halts or reverses momentum. In the Mediterranean, the Napoli chokepoint can be held by three units on either side, so France must either concede the Mediterranean stalemate, thus losing enough centers to negate any victories in the North, or allow Austria and Russia to more quickly destroy Russian fleets in the Black Sea to guarantee further rebuilds in St.P. In Summary: France can't win fast enouh to stop the extra armies from turning the tide.
19 Jul 17 UTC Austria cannot win either, as their fleets can be blocked in at the West Med chokepoint.
19 Jul 17 UTC Finally, Russia cannot win because a stab would be obvious, given the Russian army's current position, and thus would fall either to Austrian armies winning the Black Sea and taking Rumanis, Bulgaria, and Constantinople quickly, or French Navies conquering Scandinavia, as Russia is too spread-out and crescentlike to effectively defend both ends of their empire.
19 Jul 17 UTC That about how I have it figured.
19 Jul 17 UTC I think it might actually for any solo ever to happen in a fleet build only game, barring some egregious nmrs.
19 Jul 17 UTC Gg then erbody. It was good to be France and Russia in both of these matches. :-). Nice work austria, staying alive deep into this game. Aus must be tricky to play. And to my mortal enemy cb6000....good game.
19 Jul 17 UTC Having played two of these now, they are meh games. France and Russia are the only ones with any shot, and even that requires mistakes by other players. Perhaps if we had several more Germany's in this game then one of you would have had a chance.
19 Jul 17 UTC Lol
19 Jul 17 UTC Looking back on the game- I feel that from the moment Italy entered Munich, I had a guaranteed draw. With competent diplomacy, your East is quite secure. Turkey and Russia will naturally come to blows, as the Juggernaut alliance is much less appealing in a fleet game. As Austria, all you need to do is defeat Italy before the East resolves, then ideally help Russia win. Afterwards, you just mediate a draw between yourself, Russia, and whoever won the west.
19 Jul 17 UTC Turkey seems much more difficult, as unless you accomplish a herculean task of diplomacy and either prevent or slow Russian agression, you will be seen as the worst ally for all four Eastern powers.
19 Jul 17 UTC Your only other real hope would likely be somehow coordinating Western alliance, so that Russia, Austria, and Italy will each be preoccupied with England, Germany, and France, respectively.
19 Jul 17 UTC turkey did all right last time gameID=200412
19 Jul 17 UTC Looking at that game, it just seems to strengthen the idea that Turkey is everyone's worst ally. German fleets are already the anti Russian strategy, and Russia ultimately stalemated against Germany. Russia indeed then immediately stabs Turkey, and begins the Black Sea Brawl several years too late. Even then, had Britain and France immediately allied Russia rather than attacking her, the game would have likely ended with a BFR draw, as France wants to avoid a man-in-the-middle race from a Med power and England.
