Good game. | |
Nice game, I couldn't get moving quick enough
I find that Italy should be careful not to build too many fleets.
While breaking into the Atlantic is nice, and useful in putting a stalemate off the table and getting that 18 center, you almost never profit from overbearing naval presence in the Atlantic at the expense of armies in the east. I generally break the MAO, and use if to take Spain, Por, and move on France, and just hold there.
You sacrificed Mar for MAO in one of those turns.
You got 3 fleets on MAO, but would lose Mar under determined attack.
You're right, I needed a fleet in black quicker than I got there
It might be the most important thing for Italy when trying to get hold of the east
You played really conservatively in the east, holding position that would be hard to break, like never letting Tyrolia be dislodge, but that does hamper with the ability to move armies across the Venice>Trieste>east highway.
Yeah, I go back and forth between playing to aggressive and to conservative and can never find a balance with italy
It is an interesting strategy, and might actually work, but then you will need to think very carefully about how to convoy armies efficiently to Greece.
btw, we've played each other a lot, you've won them all
So you are right about the efficient convoy, I wasted a unit in apulia for a turn because I needed to cover venice
Did I? I do lose to people.
Yeah, I lose these 1v1s a bunch but love playing them cause they're so quick, easy to start, and if someone CDs the game just ends instead of 5 countries filing it out in an unbalanced game |
