22 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1901: Correction, orders are due by 6:53 AM. My device had the wrong time earlier.
22 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: BLACK SEA -- Turkish and Russian warships exchanged fire in the early hours of Saturday morning. Senior officials in both countries refused to comment on if this is the beginning of all out war.

GALICIA -- Meanwhile, Russian ground forces marched into Galicia, signaling a possible annexation of the region. Austria has yet to respond. German troops were also spotted heading south to the Austrian border. Experts say this could be the beginning of a German-Russian alliance that could lead to increased hostilities in the region.

UNDATED -- Elsehere across the continent, troops and supplies have been reported as on the move. Experts speculate the recent movements are largely in response to fears of expanded militarily action in the east.
22 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: An announcement sent out to all foreign powers by the Grand Sultan Abdul-Hamid II - We Ottomans fear none. There are no problems in our empire that can't be handled with a few good Turks. We will drive our enemies from our lands as we have done before.
23 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: I did like the news story that Ethan made, is that normal for a GM?
23 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1902: I did like the news story that Ethan made, is that normal for a GM?
23 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1902: world news roundoup will be forthcoming
23 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1902: RUMANIA -- Hostilities escalated in East-Central Europe in recent weeks culminating in a series of clashes involving Turkish, Austrian, and Russion forces in the region. Sources close to Italian and Russian leaders claim foul-play on Austria's part, however a high-ranking official with the Austrian government says differently. "I genuinely felt they [Russia & Italy] were about to turn on me," the Officail said. Further to the east in the Black Sea, Russain and Turkish warships continued a series of engagements.

GREECE -- Meanwhile, in Greece both Austrian and Italian forces clashed for control of the region. It is unclear who currently occupies the area, however the hostilities will likely lead to further conflicts in the Ionian and Adractic Seas.

BELGIUM -- Tensions are up in Northern Europe as French and German forces clashed near Belgium. German Officals claim that French Troops violated a non-aggression agreement between the two nations. France on Saturday rejected the claim on the grounds that Belgium is a neutral terroritory, not under German control, and therefore not subject to the agreement which expires this year. Meanwhile English troops made landfall in Holland, effectively occupying the region. No word yet on whether the English forces will join future hostilities between France and Germany, if they occur.

NORTH OCEANS -- An English navel buildup in the north seas have German and Russian neighbors on edge. Fleets are set to launch from London and Norway later this season.

MEDITERRANEAN SEA -- A Turkish fleet is set to launch from Constaninople later this season, setting Italian forces in the area on high-alert. Experts speculate that the scheduled fleet launch will be in coordination with Austrian efforts in those waters. In the Western Mediterranean, a French Fleet, and its flagship the FS ESCARGOT IS NOT GROSS, is set to launch later this year. Not even French Officals seem to know what the heck they're going to do with it.
23 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1902: I did like the news story that Ethan made, is that normal for a GM?
23 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1902: Ok, that was weird.
24 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1902: Telegraph sent out to leaders of other nations - The Ottomans have heard many rumors being circulated about the Turks being war like. We simply are liberating our people from those that crusade against our people. We protect our fellow Ottomans from the other powers in our local regions!
24 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1902: England is pretty sure that the Pope hasn't called for a 5th crusade, not that I'm a papist and would follow him or anything.
24 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: The pope.... Italy... HEY GREAT IDEA!
24 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: Actually the pope is technically in the Vatican/Papal States. He isn't in your jurisdiction.
24 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: (Out of Character) As I traveled to different parts of the Middle East many years ago several middle easterners I talked with oftentimes considered any attack from Europe to be a sort of crusade against them. This also held true for the wars that started during Bush years as another holy war (obviously the US is not Europe but oftentimes considered to be of similar mentality). So it was more a reference to Napoleon attacking them in the not too super distant past.
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: Also, Britain's part in the Reformation was pretty funny. This is a satirical video, but it's actually pretty accurate.

25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: The pope.... Italy... HEY GREAT IDEA!
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: I have no idea why it keeps resending my messages. Sigh.
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: I think it does that when you just refresh the screen, it reposts any messages you may have made. It is weird, I know.
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: An announcement sent out to all foreign powers by the Grand Sultan Abdul-Hamid II - The Ottoman Empire has attacked Sevastopol port in the early morning hours. After a few hours of conflict in the Crimea peninsula Russian forces fled to the west. We will continue to drive the Russian Orthodox out of our lands. We will push them into their northern sea if we have to.
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: I would like to go on record and say I think the game improperly resolved Germany's orders. According to the orders tab, he input:

The army at Berlin move to Prussia via convoy. (fail) (dislodged)
The fleet at Baltic Sea move to Prussia. (fail)

Convoy rules are a bit wonky (there's a weird rule about setting up an unwanted convoy and intentionally dislodging it, for example). But since he specified he was going to move Berlin to Prussia using that specific route, since Baltic sea did not convoy, the move should have been negated and Baltic-Prussia would succeed. Obviously, the end result is Germany loses regardless, so it's no big deal. But I disagree with the way the program resolved that move.
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: TLDR - Italy's just spreading salt around again. :-D
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: A fond farewell to our German friend. Thanks for playing, and hope you had fun!
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: An announcement sent out to all foreign powers by the Grand Sultan Abdul-Hamid II - The Ottoman Empire declares today to be The Thumbs Up Revolution. The revolt was successful and it had some casualties but fully supports the cause.
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: A fond farewell to our German friend. Thanks for playing, and hope you had fun!
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: English Parliament announces that, beyond the peacekeeping mission in the Rhineland, we will be observing a period of neutrality. Apparently even the monarchy has to deal with a thing called exams.
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1903: Any acts of aggression towards His Majesty's army will be met with swift and furious retribution.
27 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: An announcement sent out to all foreign powers by the Grand Sultan Abdul-Hamid II - The Ottoman Empire condemns the terrible tacticians that is part of the bandwagon of European powers. Your four empires haven't even been able to break the Austrian line so how do you expect with those kinds of terrible tactics you expect to break a Turkish line. We laugh at the need for the weak to band together with sheer numbers in hopes of being relevant.
27 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: FRENCH RESPONSE TO TURKISH WIND-BAGGERY: I fart in your general direction, you silly Turkish pig-dogs! END TRANSMISSION
27 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: General confusion in England as they hear Turkish rulership speak of theatres that we are not even in. England is a neutral country with a few protectorates, we are not seeking a war in the SE.
27 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: An announcement sent out to all foreign powers by the Grand Sultan Abdul-Hamid II - The Ottomans don't recognize the leadership of the French or English as a worthy enemy. As a wise man once said you could attack with a million peasants and they can over run a strong military. It doesn't make the peasants a proper military but rather an untrained mob.
27 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: SECOND FRENCH RESPONSE TO TURKISH WINDBAGS: I blow my nose at you! Your mother was a hampster and your father smelt of elderberries!
27 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: No matter what happens...I REGRET NOTHING!!!
28 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: BREAKING NEWS!! Kâmil Pasha annouces that there is unrest throughout Turkey.
28 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: The Ottomans hold joint meeting in Budapest with Austria. Franz Joseph I and Sultan Abdul-Hamid II are seen most of the day in a closed door meeting.
28 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: Franz Joseph I meets in Budapest with Sultan Abdul-Hamid II today. They have refused to disclose any details of the agenda for the meeting, though it is rumored that one of the topics at hand is the French spokesman's inability to spell the word "hamster". (Psst! There is no "p" in hamster!)
28 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: It's a regional spelling!
28 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: The Ottomans sent out some of our local soldiers to validate these French reports. After sending Serbian troops down to Albania and meeting with a strange french man named Google we were able to determine that the French version of Hamster is still Hamster. The Ottomans have come out against the general butchery of the English and French language. For as weak of a nation you also lack proper scribes. What you make up for in lack of strength and scribes you make up for in blind followers :/
28 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: Perhaps Turkish authorities should examine subject verb agreement in their statements before spending so much time on a minor typo from someone else!
28 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: The Turkish speak a superior language than you French o.O
28 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: The English are displeased with the wanton butchery of our superior language. Riots are breaking out in the streets and citizens are demanding action by the current regime or a replacement of the government.
07 May 17 UTC Spring, 1907: I'm going to be out of town in a few days, so it you could hurry up and kill me that'd be great. :-)
07 May 17 UTC Spring, 1907: I gave an opportunity to let me consume you guys quickly and easily. However, you guys chose the hard way. Just disband all of your unjts and embrace Pax Britannica
07 May 17 UTC Spring, 1907: *units. This interface doesn't like cell phones.

09 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1907: It was a good fight my Russian friend.
09 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1907: Good game all!
