30 May 17 UTC That's it, kudos for FPU. Poor GioLeo, G did all the dirty job for Ayreon's F. Perhaps your mistake comes from many many years ago: when turning to mid game strategy, you must read the current board and see the board of the future.
When I took over, U had been stuck in a dead end at an EPU alliance, for some time. Former U nmr'ed a lot, and it made no difference to his strategy...
In the long run, if I did not act against one of my allies, I'd be crushed between them, as both has perspctives of growth.
When france was weak and a spain still existed, I realized that the egiptian was unable to turn his upper hand in italian regions into any gains, both for him and specially for me. The choice was made. The timing was perfect - I did not chose it, it was given to me. E passed from inability to abandonment, turning things much easier.
I was glad to see how I developed trust with Poland. I feel I could push a bit against him, if he had allowed me a chance, and I feel he'd understand if I did. The rogue egyptian unit in Aze made our bond stronger, as we had the same concerns at the time. I would not be happy to stab him for french gains. P was my ally, F not. You remember my analysis at the time, Gage.
30 May 17 UTC Yes urban was a good game. I was honestly very nervous at the end of the game, since both you and France had pushed most of your units to the North against me.
