Game processing has been paused and user registration has been disabled while a problem is resolved.

Dear members, a large update was done that broke functionality, including the forum. We are aware. We will be adding 2 days to all games so you do not need to worry about your games until 48 hours after now (10:30am Eastern US Time). Our apologies for the disruption!

The last process time was over 12 minutes ago (at 02:15 PM UTC); the server is not processing games until the cause is found and games are given extra time.

14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Not sure why you don't think it's turkey since logically he has the most reason not to draw.
14 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: I didn't say I didn't think it was him. Just double checking. Germany could be too.
17 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Ping
17 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Which country am I again? I forgot
17 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Not the green one.
18 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: It's not easy being green.
18 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Why are there so many,
songs about rainbows,
And what's on the other side
18 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Brilliant!
19 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Did he ever return?
No he never returned
And his fate is still unlearn'd
He may ride forever
'neath the streets of Smyrna
He's the man who never returned.
19 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Hi guys finally back in the real world terribly sorry.

Also, my draw vote wasn't up. I put it up, expecting to have to apologize for that too. But the game didnt draw so I assume someone else didnt have their vote up.
19 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: What?!?! Someone lied in diplomacy!
21 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: So, how about that unpause?
21 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: This pause may have lasted longer than the play time.
22 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Just end the game
22 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Cancel
22 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: yawn
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Ok. Turkey, Russia? Whats the plan here? Can we unpause or end or something besides purgatory?
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: I'd reach out to a mod at this point.
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: i haven't heard anything from russia still, which is what i'm waiting on unpausing for. i'm happy to cancel.. i was also happy drawing but one of you two isn't
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: reaching out to a mod seems premature imo.
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: but yeah france, how about either your or germany actually puts your draw vote up to end this?
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: I'd reach out to a mod to facilitate the process
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: seems unfair to russia to do that. but it's surprising an eliminated player is advocating a cancel...
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: I hate pauses for this very reason.
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Too many pauses suck for sure, and really disrupt the flow of a game. I agree.

I don't see why eliminated players care so much, mind you.

I think the draw vote hold out (probably germany) could do us all a favor and vote draw.

I think before reaching to mods it's reasonable to wait a couple more days for Russia. They posted only a day before I did, so it's not like they've been MIA for ages.
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Well, I advocate cancel so I don't have the loss on my record :p

And I'm just saying the mods can send a friendly email reminder to the player to check the game. Not force draw or anything
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: The pause isn't bothering me. But if I were playing right now, it would be frustrating.
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: I think the problem is that neither Russia nor Turkey wants to enter an unpause vote and be surprised on the timing of when the game restarts, which is left entirely in the hands of the last voter. That's not unreasonable in general, but it is holding us back. This is an autumn turn, and we still have 48 hours of retreats and 48 hours of builds before the next move turn.

An alternative is to pick a time for unpause and stick to it, so nobody gets caught off guard. For myself (and I assume France based on his already entering a vote), I'm not worried about that and any time is fine.

I think it would be a shame to end this game prematurely just because of the pause/unpause flow. That's a terrible reason to cut a game off, and theoretically could encourage people in bad positions to disrupt a game. To be clear, I don't think that is happening in this game. I'm just saying it's bad practice.

As far as I'm concerned, this game is still very much alive for all four of the powers still in it. It is quite up in the air whether this ends in a solo or some type of draw. If a draw, the size and identity of the participants is in flux. Why even bother playing if one would discard this board?
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Is russia even around? if they messaged i would be happy to put my unpause vote up.

I'm happy to keep playing
25 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Build it and they will come
26 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Hello, sorry. I left note for Turkey apparently shortly before his return. But since it had been a while,
26 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: The game slipped from my radar. Will confer with everyone and unpause within 24-36 hours.
28 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: 24-36 hours... from when?
28 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: ∞
28 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: This is why you need mods.

28 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Hahahahahahaha. Too much.
29 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Sorry, over promising and under delivering. Ready to go now.

29 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: finally
29 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: sorry guys
29 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Huzzah
29 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Can you guys pause? I need to run to the restroom.
30 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Pause up.
03 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 1912: Normally an impending NMR would be a cause for a pause, but after all this time...
04 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 1912: I thought Russia saying "pause up" was in response to Italy's joke request for a pause. I was offline for about 30 hours, and didn't know there was an NMR issue.
04 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 1912: It was a joke, they didnt need a pause (well, not from the post of pause up). Such is life.
18 Sep 17 UTC Ha! All this time, I thought France was SD.
18 Sep 17 UTC Huh. The only ones I got right were Italy and England
18 Sep 17 UTC Thanks for the end cooperation, THM
