Spring, 2010: [Argentina]:What alliance am I betraying??
Spring, 2010: [Kenya]:What alliance AREN'T you betraying?
Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:I... I don't know...
Autumn, 2010: [Kenya]:Caught him, boys. Get 'im.
Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:lol I really don't know what you're talking about!
Autumn, 2010: [Kenya]:That sounds like the words of someone with something to hide. Like treachery.
Autumn, 2010: [Europe]:Argentina knows that if he touches either Europe or Ghana, then he will lose. That is the alliance he won't betray.
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:I see. So you're all three CD whores
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:I've already lodged a couple of complaints with the mods. I'll be asking them to deduct the points from this game a giving refunds to those lamp layers who worked for the draw and cancel.
Autumn, 2010: [Europe]:I took three CDs (same as you). I defeated Libya, Near East, some of Kenya, and Pacific Russia--all of whom played the game. I also took some SCs from Western Canada who, unlike you, played until the end and didn't just throw away SCs to the biggest guy on the block. I was one of the first people to hit cancel, but if it isn't unanimous then I guess I have to play. The name of the game is diplomacy. I guess I was diplomatic enough to find a path for my country to be a winner--unlike Quebec. Ghana fought South Africa, Kenya, and Libya to get his SCs. Not at all like Argentina. And he continued to play hard despite the growing menace of Argentina to his West. He didn't just quit--like you. If you are going to lose, go down swinging next time. Or, try to work yourself a deal to get to the top. I played by the rules of the game--not the unwritten rules that gentlemen play by. We were obviously not in a gentlemanly game. I adapted. Try it sometime. Now, stop the name calling and up your game. Sorry, that is as diplomatic as I can be with someone who is no longer playing.
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:I had two centers from a CD and was the first player to offer a Cancel and "taking three CDs" is an outright lie. I don't join any game for the purposes of having advantages determined by roll of the dice and won't play in that sort of game. I have asked the mods for action. I am a top player on this site, so don't lecture me about that. What I don't do is spread my legs for a few D. This was a crap game from the get go and you know it. I suspect you are at least a little embarrassed as you should be. |
|
Autumn, 2010: [Europe]:As I said, Quebec, I put in for the cancel early as well. But, you enflamed the situation by rolling over and playing dead. You admit to throwing away your SCs to Argentina. You mentioned you were in contact with him about how long it would take for him to take them all from you. The embarrassment should be on you as well. My grandmother taught me to finish everything I started. Kenya didn't quit. Nor did Western Canada. Nor did China. Nor did Pacific Russia. Nor did Libya. You are correct, this was not a fair and balanced game. But you made it even worse. You may be a top player in this game. Congratulations. But I do question your ethics when you castigate others for taking free spaces (perhaps even using the term whores) while freely offering your own territory to others. I would have respected you if you had fought until the end. I would have even supported you in your fight. You were no longer worthy of my assistance when you proved to be one who would roll over and play dead at the first sign of possible defeat. I am finished with our discussion Quebec. It is obvious that we have to completely different ethical codes in this game. I play games by the rules in play. You play by rules you hope apply to all and chide those who don't play by them as well. Good luck in your quest to continue the rise towards SplitDiplomat. I bid you adieu.
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:The rules of the game are that there are seventeen players from the start, not thirteen. I do not participate in a righed system and refuse to dignify it with my participation. I don't validate the illegitimacy of the game by overlooking it and pretending it isn't the case. You chose to participate in an invalid game, so you have no basis to complain about my throwing the game. Argentina threatened me early that if he dead by Autumn 2007. That was me tweaking him that even me throwing the game he couldn't do it.
Autumn, 2010: [Western-Canada]:Europe I may have stayed until the end, but it was truly senseless. this game had been messed up LONG before that.
Autumn, 2010: [Europe]:Congrats!
Autumn, 2010: [Europe]:I agree with you, Western Canada. Hence my Cancel vote very early in the game. But I respect you for not just quitting.
Autumn, 2010: [Europe]:I don't expect compliments if I win or draw. But, I refuse to quit. My momma didn't raise no quitter!
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:No, just a complicit fool who is part of the problem. The CD whoring wouldn't be an issue if players enforced standards instead of taking unfair advantage. Looks like you mom raised a skeezy creep cheats at every opportunity
Autumn, 2010: [Kenya]:I should never have let Ghana off the hook, and helped Near East kill him off. Backing my centers up in expectation of help fighting Argentina was using leverage on a stubborn mule.
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:Yep. Ghana was always a major part of the problem We will se what action the mods take |
|
Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:Shhh shhh shhh it will all be over soon shh shh shh
Autumn, 2010: [Europe]:Argentina, your cockiness is repugnant. You are not without fault in this game. While almost all were voting cancel, you refused to budge. Don't act all high and mighty now. I'd love to have another shot at you! A fair one this time.
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:Lol, Argentina is utterly shameless, which is the point.
Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:Put me in a "fair game" and I'll still win
Autumn, 2010: [Western-Canada]:that's extraordinarily cocky. if ghana/europe/india/oz REALLY care about stopping you then they will. you've run over a dead USA, Brazil and South Africa with ease, and you're still not in position yet to win. put you in a fair game, perhaps you could get into a draw. but in World, saying you WILL win, I know players on this site who are a hundred times better than anyone here, and they wouldn't put money down on winning. |
|
Autumn, 2010: [Europe]:I don't want to defend Argentina (even the thought makes me cringe), but you and Quebec keep saying that Argentina overran USA. You are the two that had the most to benefit from that situation. Yet, you continue to spew insults at him for taking US. How does that work? In my early talks with Brazil, I know that Argentina lied to Brazil and betrayed him early. Part of the game. I have no beef with that. Brazil quit. Unfortunate. I hate quitters. But how does that equal Argentina having full rights to USA? That being said, in a fair game, Argentina, you wouldn't stand a chance. |
|
Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:My bad haha, I'm going to draw this game. And is okay Europe you don't have to tell him all those things! He has to have excuses on why he lost so let's let him have it
Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:Btw start a new game and I'll be there
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:Um no, we grabbed USA and asked for a cancel on that basis. Argentina had CDs of Brazil Antarctica and South Africa and I walked off and he is STILL barely in the lead here
Autumn, 2010: [Quebec]:Um no, we grabbed USA and asked for a cancel on that basis. Argentina had CDs of Brazil Antarctica and South Africa and I walked off and he is STILL barely in the lead here
Autumn, 2010: [Western-Canada]:@Europe um... USA is an afterthought. my main critiques have been Brazil making idiotic moves and leaving, and South Africa is the same. USA really didn't do much at all, and isn't really in the main equation. focusing in on him is kind of purposeless, and distracts from what Argentina did that was TRULY bad @Argentina however, if we DO start another game, some people here aren't getting invited. we've had 3 or 4 CDs, and no immediate cancel or draw. Argentina, your benefiting from CDs and then refusal to give up your advantage, shows how much class you have. I won't be playing another game with you if i get the opportunity. In a tournament, this game is ended IMMEDIATELY after those guys drop out. But in tournaments, people care about playing the game properly and not leeching off of advantages, and actually trying to win |
|
Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:In tournament play do what you need to and if you all decide to Cancle that's great! But in this game it was all about adapting and playing with what you have and what's happened. And alright you don't have to play another game with me but stop saying that I'm not good if the only game I have played with you all I have won (or will win). And as a reply to quebecs message he would have sent I mean draw. So either play me in another game or just stop talking
Autumn, 2010: [Western-Canada]:1. very convenient that the "adapting with what you have" for YOU was zero major border threats. VERY convenient. 2. that's not JUST tournament play. the only difference between this game and a tournament game, is that the Mods are more likely to step in and intervene in tournaments. they STILL might in this game too. 3. i'm not saying you're not good, i'm saying this result is NOT because of "skill." in fact i definitely think you're one of the better players on this board, but the idiocy of those surrounding you handed you this game. also, you're not going to win, unless everyone else in this game drops about 50 IQ points. |
|
Autumn, 2010: [Western-Canada]:and the reason why i'm not going to play with you again, is because you're not cancelling. even a draw several rounds back would have been appropriate. you clearly have no regard for game etiquette, and i'm not going to waste time with players who enjoy playing essentially on a handicap mode. |
|
Autumn, 2010: [India]:Last time I checked, this is just a game... calm down everyone
Autumn, 2010: [Kenya]:And games entail sportsmanship. Argentina has none. That's the outrage, and a keen reason not to play any games he's in again.
Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:don't hate the player hate the game :). But don't hate this game because web dip is fun!
Autumn, 2010: [Western-Canada]:Argentina that phrase is only supposed to be used whenever something clever is done, not when a player purposefully takes an unfair advantage to their own benefit. in this case, it is perfectly just to hate the player. meanwhile, i'm still trying to figure out how you find it fun to simply run over nations who leave and then refuse to cancel when nearly everyone else wants to. |
|
Spring, 2011: [Kenya]:I don't hate the game. I hate a lack of sportsmanship and honor.
Spring, 2011: [Quebec]:We will find out who he is shortly and can act according then
Spring, 2011: [Argentina]:Final 5!!!!!!
Spring, 2014: [Quebec]:Lol. Another CD. Let me guess. Oz is yet another Argentina multi
Spring, 2014: [China]:Let me guess, another round is done so the bitching begins! Quebec is the OG!
Spring, 2014: [Quebec]:Given the disgustingly unsporting cheating that has gone on here, you're lucky there is as little heckling as there has been.
Spring, 2014: [Quebec]:I notice India also has behaved basically like a multi also.
Spring, 2014: [India]:Quebec just leave
Spring, 2014: [Quebec]:Not gonna happen. You signed on to this robbery. Refund my bet and I'll go. Email the mods
[India]:And thats the game
[Argentina]:Surprise!
[Quebec]:Well what do you know, the organizer is the asshole |
