13 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 2000: [Oz]:Welcome all, to what might actually not be a "so long" to this map. Apparently Known World is going away and this one is sticking around: http://webdiplomacy.net/forum.php?viewthread=1438302#1438302
All the same, let's have fun with it. My first try with Oz on here, so I like that.
13 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 2000: [South-Africa]:Too bad. Never got a chance to play known world but the map mechanic annoyed me. I like to see the whole board without scrolling.
13 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 2000: [Russia]:Since this is a non-anon game, anyone who knows each other has to disclose it. So please step forward! Thanks in advance and good luck to all!
13 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 2000: [Oz]:I've played against others here before, but have no RL connections, and won't be swayed by those past games other than to recognize certain tendencies.
13 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 2000: [South-Africa]:Same.
13 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 2000: [Ghana]:Maybe we should have made the minimum reliability 35%?
14 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Brazil]:This isn't ideal... Reactions to Argentina?
14 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Russia]:It happens on this map. Just wipe him out and take advantage.
14 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Kenya]:with as many players as this game requires, you will always have someone that doesnt show up
14 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:Well it's not Admiral Diplomat's fault the other chap is hopelessly incompetent, he should play on and seize any advantages.. Later on everyone else could gang up against Brazil if that'd make you feel better, AdmiralD
14 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:Just saying, if you feel guilty about getting some easy sc's, please don't trouble yourself, in such caring company I imagine that there's several players who might be persuaded to relieve you of the terrible burden.
14 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Oz]:Sometimes you get no-shows. It's a major problem in Classic for causing unbalance, but it can be handled better in world because as Libya notes, enough players can band together to prevent one player from running away with it, if needed.
15 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Argentina]:i believe i have solved the argentina problem for now
15 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Oz]:Thank you for rebalancing it a bit NEW Argentina
16 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:Welcome Capt Brad, thanks for joining & immediately voting for a Draw. I'd just remarked to a worried Brazil that there might be a friendly player available & willing to share his sc burden & here you are, up to the mark, and I hope, ready to help Admiral Diplomat.
16 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Kenya]:why would you join a game is you are going to immediately vote for a draw?
16 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:I think it's a cunning plan so we don't see the solo coming ?
16 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: [Kenya]:i also see people who are close to elimination voting for a draw.....like someone who is winning will vote that way
16 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 2001: [Argentina]:I can pull my vote if it makes you nervous Kenya.
16 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 2001: [Kenya]:doesnt make me nervous, just makes no sense
