04 Feb 17 UTC Nice game all. Good maneuver by France and England. Thank you Austria. Well done.
04 Feb 17 UTC Well done Italy - I had fears of you stabbing Austria for the solo, but I'm glad we got you contained. Selfishly pretty proud I fought back from being almost eliminated early on.
04 Feb 17 UTC Austria and Italy, we're you 2 communicating outside the game?
04 Feb 17 UTC good game! I am personally very happy going from 1 center to draw.
04 Feb 17 UTC France: I don't understand why you reattacked me. Nothing wrong with it - probably a solid play as we all play to win, but what was the trigger? (If you can recall if there even was one)
04 Feb 17 UTC Also, from a technical point, could I have soloed? My math said even with a good stab say this round of Austria, do you think I could have got the +3?
04 Feb 17 UTC My math said no. I think I was going to lose Kiel, and Paris/Brest were Longshot. Maybe Triest/Vienna/Berlin?? But #18? Can't see it.

04 Feb 17 UTC I had no communication with Italy outside the game.
04 Feb 17 UTC Germany, your movement to Tyr and Ven has distabilized me and Italy too, i thing. I was verry surprised
04 Feb 17 UTC Congratulation Italy. For me, you are the winner. Thank for your generosity. If you had hitted me, you had your solo.
04 Feb 17 UTC Some of your supports were very random and seems like you 2 were communicating because they wouldn't have been made if you weren't. Like why austria why give up SC's and support Italy into them while Italy was prospering so much but at least you drew
04 Feb 17 UTC With the German attact, i had needed to take Tunis, to survive. After, i had taked Ven from Germany. But i had evacuated later, this 2 centers.
04 Feb 17 UTC Nevermind, we drew so it's all good. Not what I was talking about, I'm just glad I survived
04 Feb 17 UTC I was not communicating outside with Austria or anyone,  but I can see why you asked.  I just got to tally lucky on two supports with Austria. And then we had you outnumbered.

Two othet things.  I switched tactics/alliances three times during the game, all of which would have looked weird from outside.

At one point I was fighting France and Austria at the same time.  Once I could see disaster, I switched and started supporting them as Russia and Germany/Britain started to win.

The moves into Russia were just pure luck by Austria and I.

Then, late in the game, France reattacked me and I had to go after him again.   I was determined to knock him out at that point.   British troops and ships stopped me.   Plus, France maneuvered well.  I was hoping France was going full on after Germany.  But, that didn't happen.

I enjoyed playing with all of you - quick movements and lots of drama.  Well done, hope to see you all again.
04 Feb 17 UTC 1909-1911 is where the switch ups started. I stared after a weakening Turkey with Austria and I not fighting each other around then too
04 Feb 17 UTC For the apparently random supports, as you tell, they give to the other guy if he go in this direction, he will fine a support. Meening will be easier for him working with an ally. But without communication, it's a gamble
04 Feb 17 UTC I'm amused that you lumped Germany and I together - from early on, he was my main opponent, and my real goal this game was to outlast him.

As for the solo -- If you had wanted to solo, your best bet was in Spring this past year. You have Trieste and Serbia open and you would then be in excellent shape to break into Rumania, Budapest, or Venice before we could get enough purchase on your German holdings. I think it would have been close, but I think you could have done it.
04 Feb 17 UTC I think you could have soloed as well. It's always a gamble but I wouldn't let someone get that big that you're "working with," I put the quations because of the no communication but I just wanted to ask
04 Feb 17 UTC Fun game for sure
04 Feb 17 UTC Yes, I concur. I think two moves ago was my best chance to strike into Austria and solo. I see that now on the past maps. I should have gone for it then. I appreciate the advice. Hopefully next time.
04 Feb 17 UTC Britian, sorry, I was not lumping you in as allied with Germany. I was putting you and Germany as fast growing threats. First him, then you. It was funny to see Germany in Portugal. You struck at just the right time
05 Feb 17 UTC t oanswer your question, I attacked you not because of something you did, but in order to keep the balance. It was clear that you were about to make a solo there, so I had to try to contain you, hoping that a coalition would form (and it did).

On your place I would have backstabbed austria in the final rounds, as was specified higher, there was a good chance for you to solo.
05 Feb 17 UTC Thanks. Good call on re-balancing, that's what I guessed was the reason.

Appreciate the coaching. Next time I'm on it.
