17 Nov 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: Hello All. Taking over Heartland.
21 Nov 16 UTC Autumn, 2001: Ug... This is bad. I've never played this map and it shows. I'm going to Turtle up. Let me know if you would like any particular support.
22 Nov 16 UTC Autumn, 2001: All quiet on the (mid)western front I suppose.
22 Nov 16 UTC Autumn, 2001: ...
06 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2005: I think New York has this game in the bag. My only hope is that I survive to the very end.
07 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2005: Now accepting applications for croney states! Come one, come all!
07 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2005: As an overlord, NY has my highest recommendation.
08 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2005: Florida, Peru, BC, Heartland (?); New York is at 20 with no enemies in secure positions. I see him able to take at least 2 or 3 more centers this year, especially with HL not submitting moves.
08 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2005: And?
08 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2005: Only one thing will stay my ceaseless assaults -- I want California to have his land back.
08 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2005: To answer the 'And?', I offer support where I can. For example, I have not attacked Florida (holding to the Mississippi River borderline), I have not attacked BC (and am trying to work to the southern DMZ he and I have discussed), and have not yet counter-attacked HL, even though the turncoat 'dot-grabbed' Kansas from me. Mexico has never written to me (so why should I care about him?). Peru and I have kept our distance but now that NY is attacking him too, there will be opportunities for assistance there also.
08 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2005: Speaking of Mexico, if the silent one would submit his disband, we could move on with this game.
09 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2006: 'dot-grabbed' is such a hateful term. I prefer a more playful term like annexed.
09 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2006: OK, "so I have not yet counter-attacked HL, even though the turncoat 'annexed' Kansas"...
09 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2006: Don't you besmirch my croney's honor like that!!
10 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2006: Your puppet does not seem to understand deadlines.
12 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2006: I'm fully aware of all deadlines. I'm actively not participating.
12 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2006: Actively dead.
13 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2007: If you only knew. I'm nearly through finals... I've slept so little.
13 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2007: Good luck Heartland, I believe you can do this.
17 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2008: Heartland was the ultimate sleeper agent... literally asleep!
18 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2009: I will continue to try to hold the line against NY.
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 2009: stories of the "gore slurry in missouri" terrify newspaper readership all over the former states
21 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 2009: California -- if we can get your army to the coast, I will convoy you out, and make you an island king!
23 Dec 16 UTC I have to say that I have not seen a less coordinated effort in the face of a sure win than in this game. Good job NY, you deserve it.
23 Dec 16 UTC Ready up everybody, and let's put it to bed! The coalition is kaput!!

Thanks for the fun times, everyone. I had a bit of an unfair lead with my absent neighbors, but I don't think I made very many mistakes either. You all have been very pleasant co-players and were nice to talk to.
23 Dec 16 UTC Nah, you did a good job with what you had, congratulations on your victory.
23 Dec 16 UTC In retrospect, I feel like I messed up the game. Sorry.
23 Dec 16 UTC if you mean your excellent performance as my beloved croney state, please do not. i'm confident when i say that you fighting me would not have slowed me for long. i was bound for the big time!!
23 Dec 16 UTC Nice job New York!
