11 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1908: Mislav now you are behaving in the manner of a cork brained clown. A set of performance stats that you regard as impressive does not give your opinions any of the validity they clearly lack. Try and get the following points I have already made past your oversized and way too delicate ego into your split pea like brain.
1 I am completely uninterested in reading scurrilous accusations in forum posts or messaging in games..I'm here to do other things.
2 if you have a serious complaint then make it through the proper procedures....Duh, that's not in messaging in a game stupid.
So all your whining about this screenshot stuff.. Take it elsewhere through an email to the Mods, but in this game, as far as that stuff goes it is YOU mislav that should stfu as you so eloquently express yourself in this way maybe stfu is pitched about your level.
If you want to blab on about what a red-hot player you are then you are free to bore us with that ad infinitum
But the screenshot stuff, the message has repeatedly been, from more players than myself..." We don't want to read that in messages in this game "
I would have thought that was ( I'll use words you may understand )
PFSTG..pretty flippin' simple to "get".
12 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1908: yes, so , i'll be brief, shut up, you're dead.
12 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1908: hope you understood that, it's not too complicated even for a "cork brained clown"such as you.
12 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1908: Y'all would stop fighting if one of you would stop responding to the other lol
13 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Bye Yoyo. You played well. For what it's worth, I'm sorry for the part I played in your demise.
15 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1909: Thanks for the game.
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: Maybe a certain player might like to read an informative forum thread on the subject of screenshots, and illuminate his dim mind.
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: No need to be rude about it, Major.

Anyways, here's the link if anyone wants it:

19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: oh cmmon man already...you've lost, I've lost, get over it..you're a good player if that means something to you...
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: most players don't know about the fabricated screenshots and this for me was the first time someone did it. I still consider it to be a very dubious rule since that's not possible in H2H games for ex.
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: The decision made by our betters, ie the Almighty Mod Squad, the, if I can paraphrase it correctly, is that screenshots are "press" is not a "dubious rule" it is a decision about whether something is treated as like a message in press games, and then applying the standard rules of Diplomacy.
In the old days of face to face board games, during a Diplomacy period, a player could come to me with a scrap of paper with notes from two different players that might appear to be a conspiracy against me, and the player with the scrap of paper appear in the role of a friend come to warn and help me. The note might, or might not be a forgery... All allowable in the groups I played with, I would suggest.
Sure, I'm cranky with the kid, and disinclined to be kind, partly for stuff in the game between "France & Italy" but what really gets me cranky is the kids minimalist apology to another party, who HAS to remain mute almost completely, I think I understand why he has done so, but I am speculating there. I think mislav may not appreciate just how odious I regard making comments intended to be taken seriously ( not obvious satire etc, but gee be cautious ) in global press in a game ( or the forum ) that tend to imply another player has cheated.
The two things screenshots V "distasteful suggestions about a players ethics" in press are not of equal significance imho.
I lose lots of games, my loss in this one isn't of huge significance to me, I rate it an annoying one at this point in time, I'll be far more upset if I get done in another game where I've got my dreamboat country and it's going OK so far, what I'm cranky about is, as I say, accusations made rashly, minimalist apology when basis of rash accusation is shown to be incorrect, then quibbling ( I still think it's a dubious rule ) and a lack of appreciation imho of the " serious breach of etiquette in the way a player raises certain questions about another player ", given the diplomatically mute players particular reputation.
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: Anyone up for a draw by chance? :)
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: I'd settle with a cancel tbh
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: Or you all could just CD and let me run off with the pot.
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: funny.
19 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1910: well, i'd like to draw..:)
23 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1911: Look! Pink fireworks!
23 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1911: You must always strike while the iron is hot, but the irony is burns the skin always.
24 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1911: This week on Turkey needs to calm down...
24 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1911: Originally titled "England needs to calm down", this show was abruptly, but very expectedly canceled and rebooted due to disfavorable reviews by the French and German :P
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: I think a few people are concerned about me going for the solo. It doesn't look likely to me. Firstly France and I are fairly evenly matched with Turkey/England/Austria. Secondly, even if/when our slight advantage tells then France would move against me before I had the chance.

Given all of this, I'm putting in my draw vote. I'll leave it up to others how and when they react to that, but it will stay there for the foreseeable future.

Happy Christmas by the way, shouldn't we be having a truce?
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: yeah, let's draw in the spirit of Christmas.
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: Haha, yeah I'm also quite happy to draw and enjoy Christmas
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: ok england and austria, you should me happy the most with such an outcome...
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: it's been a long game and a good one...kudos to everbody..
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: and merry Christmas to all, whether you celebrate it or not..
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: I suppose we can draw. Turkey isn't going to solo anymore anyways.

Merry Christmas everyone!
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: how does this rank in ghost ratings england? Does it matter how many centers you have in a draw?
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: this was a strong field, 3 top 50 in the world players in it and a bunch of very good other players.
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: SoS rates in GR equivalently to SoS in game. If you want, I can *roughly* calculate all of your GRs after this game
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: please
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: my last 3 games are not calculated in the ratings, I'm currently n41 you're 44 in the world
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: do they take into account the strength of the opponents and how?
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: this game included appart from me and you who are top50 also Peregrine who used to be top 50
25 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: cmmon Austria, draw the game
26 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: Taking in strength of the opposition is the key to it. I grasp the concept - it's to do with comparing your actual result to the expected result against the opponents you have. I'm not enough of a statistician to go any further than that in my explanation though.
26 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: yeah but how do they calculate that? Based on GR I guess..
26 Dec 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: austria?
27 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1912: what do we do now? If the austrian doesn't show up?
27 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1912: So, we appear to still be playing!
27 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1912: I guess we continue until he votes draw or is replaced.
27 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1912: if he doesn't show up, eventually the game will draw due to his resignation..so...
27 Dec 16 UTC Spring, 1912: we'll just have to wait for tomorrow..
28 Dec 16 UTC Sucks for Austria that he CD'ed in the last turn.

Anyways, good game everyone.
28 Dec 16 UTC Thanks for the game all.
28 Dec 16 UTC This game is a good reminder of why I dislike Sum of Squares scoring. Germany, would you have stabbed me if it was regular Draw-sized scoring?
28 Dec 16 UTC Good question. It's definitely less likely, as there would be no gain from extra centres.

I'd still have had concerns about being caught between you and Turkey, but the chances of the two of you trusting each other enough to achieve a 17/17 draw in equal shares are obviously much lower than those of you combining to whittle me down to a few centres in SoS.
28 Dec 16 UTC Thanks for the game against some good opponents. Learnt a lot.
28 Dec 16 UTC Yeah, that's what I thought. It was never my intention to stab you with Turkey. I was happy to play it through to the stalemate line with you. Stabbing you for a centre or two was a thought, but I would have never done it, given how close Turkey would be to the stalemate line.
My plan had been to get Turkey far enough ahead fast enough, to prevent your stab for fear of his solo. Unfortunately, he never moved fast enough for me.
28 Dec 16 UTC gg to all. fitting end to this game I'd say
