14 Oct 16 UTC Good game all. I was WAITING for a little Austrian help against Turkey.

@Turkey well played. Kept the pressure on and didn't let me dance my way out of the mess.
14 Oct 16 UTC @Russia well played yourself - you had me second guessing like the Sicilian in the Princess Bride movie for many moves.
14 Oct 16 UTC Yes, I appreciate that Russia. I was in doubt between building an army and going after Turkey with him knowing that I would, or build a fleet for Italy and try to surprise him with my army from Venice. The surprise didn't work. :(
14 Oct 16 UTC It was a challenging game for me, with Russia moving to Galicia, and Italy full on attacking me from the beginning. Just when I had pushed back Italy while keeping Russia at bay, Turkey retreats to Budapest which cancelled my build.

Then I manage to get Italy on its knees, and Germany takes a center...grmbbll. I push back Germany, and that is when I first could start becoming proactive instead of reactive. That's when I made the choice to try to surprise Turkey while taking out the last Italian unit....

By the way, why was everyone putting up the draw so early in the game? Is there a code I missed?
14 Oct 16 UTC Kind of lucked out with that Budapest retreat, but not looking a gift horse in the mouth. I think the early draw votes were people looking to cash out early when they were ahead. I suppose I could have dropped the draw vote, as I was getting into a pretty solid position there.
14 Oct 16 UTC ah thanks
14 Oct 16 UTC I saw 6 draw votes and only me not voting, so I saw the futility of continuing. It looked to me like E and T would eventually battle for the win so why not just move on.
15 Oct 16 UTC I didn't take an Austrian center to try and ally with you.

I put up the first draw because I had 7 centers, which was the lead. However, I found myself fighting on 2 disparate fronts, and neither Austria nor Germany seemed interested in working together. I was really waiting for Denmark to bump Sweden. Figured I couldn't hold that position long.
