30 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello to all,
Hope that each of us will have an enjoyable time. Good luck. Franzi
01 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1901: Less than an hour before the first move and 2 players haven't entered their moves. This isn't looking good
01 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1901: Yeah, I hope we aren't going to have to sit around until substitute players have taken their seats after 2 rounds !?!
01 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1901: We can pause the game and post it on the threads asking for 2 players. It's early enough that we should find 2 pretty easily
01 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1901: Let's just see how the first turn goes. As far as I know, Germany and/or Italy have to actually 'fail at entering orders' in order to be replaced, don't they ? Or is there another mechanism to speed that process up ?
08 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1903: hey guys, I replaced france, good game !
09 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1903: Welcome DDD25091998
09 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1903: Oh, and welcome also ArRakis and DragonKiller
14 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Does anyone know why France's support of Berlin to Kiel didn't work?
14 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Yep: the order is written in reverse Kiel->Ber
14 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Ah
14 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Thanks DDD25091998 for your "gift".
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: hey guys, I'm ready to draw this thing if you are.
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: You are trying to go solo, Austria ! Get out of Italy, back to your own provinces. Then we will talk !
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: Nope. I already voted draw. So you can just do the same.
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: Further more the draw function is not a diplomatic tool on webdip. You could have of kicked for using it as such.
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: I don't understand what your saying at all with your last remark. Please explain.
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: I voted draw.
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: That I do understand. But your statement of 10:28 I don't.
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: (Maybe you are in another time-zone; your comment 3.5 hrs ago.)
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: (Maybe you are in another time-zone; your comment 3.5 hrs ago.)
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: It is stated in the rules that you are not allowed to use the draw vote as a diplomatic tool. thus my voting draw is because I want to draw
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: I (still) don't know what I am supposed to know with the phrase "diplomatic tool".
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: But I do know, I am not voting "draw" at the moment . . .
19 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 1907: ok for a draw... i think england and austria are gaining enough point to accept it.
19 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: sorry england is really the worst ally you can found.
Win for Austria...i will play for austria
bye
20 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: What I mean by "diplomatic tool" is that you can use the draw vote to make people think that you don't wanna play anymore. That way your opponent might let their guard down making an attack on them easier. But as I said that is not allowed in Webdip, and thus my desire to draw is true. And I am not trying for the solo
20 Oct 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Thanks for your explanation. Haden't thought about that possibility of 'using voting' as a 'propaganda tactic'.
Farka, I have no concerns about you being honest. In my dealings with you, verbal or in maneuverings, I have found you to be 'above board' in these - your behavior. And given the situation that you are in, I would opt for a draw too if I were in your position.
06 Nov 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: So I can see a bunch of old comments. What's the current situation. England about to solo?
07 Nov 16 UTC Autumn, 1911: Just about there ...
10 Nov 16 UTC Are you guys doing a 17-17 draw?
10 Nov 16 UTC That's a good question. Uptil now, and definitely before the previous Austrian player left, I proposed a 17-12-5 draw.
I am going to press on Russia to state his views clearly.
10 Nov 16 UTC Oh, by the way, I saw that you have used the "resign" option, or maybe it was the "leave" (a game) choice. But I have not seen a TAB or icon which allows me to use these 2 options. Can you inform me ?
10 Nov 16 UTC There is no resign option. If you are talking about the resign stat in my profile I believe that was the result of the system working different in the past. I think it was from when I was playing live games several years ago. It's equivalent to the civil disorder stat.
10 Nov 16 UTC OK, but the guy who left you Austria is shown to have "left" instead of gone into "civil disorder"; I would like to know how he did that in the present version of the game. (Better stats as to "reliability".)
10 Nov 16 UTC Oh, and thanks for answering .…
10 Nov 16 UTC Hmm... Yeah, that is strange. I'm not sure what causes that to happen.
10 Nov 16 UTC So if I get it right, in an earlier version of this digital game there was 'somehow' a choice to "resign" from a game. But this has been removed. Is that right ?
10 Nov 16 UTC It wasn't a choice. It was exactly like the current civil disorders but with a different label. They used to not have a reliability rating and didn't track nmrs.
10 Nov 16 UTC Oh, OK. Thanks for the clarification.
11 Nov 16 UTC I would like to thank everyone for playing. On a whole this game kept on being more civilized than a lot of the games I have been part of. I appreciate the restraint shown by each of us. 'Till a next game, Franz
