Spring, 1901: Enjoy the game every one!
Spring, 1901: Good luck everyone from the Kaiser!
Spring, 1901: Ahem. Yes, it's Easter, but war doesn't wait. Any chance of some movement from France and Germany?
Spring, 1901: Just so everyone knows, it doesn't matter if there is a tick by your name. You have to be Ready.... i.e. your button needs to say 'Not Ready'.
Spring, 1904: Let's use the "Global" forum more. It creates more of a group atmosphere.
Autumn, 1904: Atmosphere? I'll create some atmosphere in Venice when I take it out of your dead, frozen hands.
Autumn, 1904: And i'll believe Italy and Austria don't have an alliance when I see SCS changing hands
Autumn, 1905: Vive la France!
Autumn, 1905: Long live the queen!
Spring, 1907: If folks could finalize their orders, that would be great.
Spring, 1908: Four supply points lost in one year - quite a remarkable, self-inflicted collapse. A good illustration that backstabbing is only worth it if one can sustain it.
Spring, 1908: Three, even
Spring, 1910: Sorry about the delay in disbanding - I was travelling.
Spring, 1910: No worries, thanks for saying something, and it happens.
Autumn, 1911: The beer is so much better now ever since we all started speaking German
Autumn, 1911: Cheers, or Prost, as we say.
Spring, 1913: How the next round looks in my head. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bb8KZps4woA
Spring, 1916: Ladies and gentlemen! The time has come to finish the game. Who will make the best tactical moves to get to 18 scs? Germany has succeeded in continuously growing. But Russia has done a great job staying within 1 sc of Germany. Two seasons left, who will end with 18 scs? Winner takes it all!
Spring, 1916: Good game, everyone!
Well, not entirely played by the rules initially set out, which was that no players can collude until the end, but must seek to win the game for themselves. Russia played poodle to Germany. Boo!
Perhaps, but I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "collude until the end"? I was put into a poodle situation by my adversaries. At one point, I was surviving with 4 SCs, none of which were my home SCs. You might be right; though I don't feel terribly bad about how this ended. I just wish I got my points back. Maybe we can discuss the game flow offline. I'd like to understand better and would like to get another game rolling if you guys are up for it. |
