Game won by Fireplay5 (100 D)
04 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 7: A Messenger from Persia asks for permission to occupy Crete and Cyprus to eliminate the Greek pirates.
Afterwards the Persian forces will withdraw and allow the Egyptians to retake their islands.
04 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 7: Egypt, don't trust the Persian psychophants.
04 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 7: I've kept to my word so far, why would I change now when we are close to winning together Egypt?
04 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 7: Because that´s the spirit of the game.

Egypt, you will lose both islands.
04 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 7: Egypt grants Persia the right to do so as Egypt is preoccupied at the moment.
04 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: The treacherous Persian Empire under the pretext of destroying the Greeks is occupying the whole Eastern Med and will soon be in Eygpt itself.
04 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: The Persian Emperor vows not to enter North Africa even if the Greek Pirates attack there without written consent from the Pharaoh himself.
04 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: (It might be the spirit of the game, but you can establish allies in other games by being trustworthy.)
04 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: (That and I consider myself to be an honorable Diplomacy player. So unless Egypt attacked me I will remain his ally.)
04 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: Also, I have no reason to attack Great Persia seeing as how they have helped me greatly thus far, and Rome is the only real troublemaker.
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: Persia is well on his way to a solo victory and that will be due to the naivity of the Eygptian Pharaoh. I hope his slaves have started work on the pyramid to bury him in! When Persia finally claims victory he will say... 'but I am an honourable man and never said I would share the win'.
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: Lol and you're doing so great, Greece
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: The Greek people is welcome to the Italian territory
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: The Greeks are not doing too bad considering their position when I took charge of the senate. We appreciate the kind offer of the Romans who are happy to let us stay, perhaps they too are like the Eygptians, occupied elsewhere. In fact everyone except the Persians are occupied elsewhere, have you noticed that?
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 7: Probably because your harassing our supply lines and I am currently taking Greece over(which is right next door)?
05 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 8: Persia prepares for an attack against the Roman armies that will bring their Republic to it's knees. Then shall the Romans bow before the God-Emperor AND the Pharaoh.
05 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 8: Persia talks too much
05 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 8: Persia talked at the beginning and got an ally, Persia does not understand why stopping would help. :)
05 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 8: The great Egyptian Pharaoh has had his people begin building the largest altar in the old world at which the Roman soldiers will bow and worship the Pharaoh after their catastrophic defeat. The Egyptian Pharaoh is also building another altar right next to it so that the Great Persian Leader can have the same authority upon his visits.
05 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 8: The Greek people agree with Rome that the Persians talk a lot, but it is the arogance of these uncivilised peasants and that of the lap dog Eygptians that offends the cultured ears of the Greeks.
05 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 8: Persia would like to remind the upstart Greeks that the Romans didn't offer vassalize when invading Greece, unless the Greeks haven't realized that their gods have abandoned them?
05 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 8: Roasted
05 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 8: Roasted
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 8: (Egypt, I'll help you move your fleet to Ausonian Sea.)
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 8: The Pirate haven in Rav is torched to the ground and the inhabitants captured or killed.
The threat of the Greek Terror has ended and Persia can now release Crete & Cyprus to the Egyptians once again.
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 8: The Egyptians commend Persia for its tremendous work in destroying these criminals.
05 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 8: The Great Egyptian Pharaoh makes a public announcement to his people, saying that a fleet from the Ausonian Sea has broken through the Roman naval lines which now tremble in fear as a mighty Egyptian war fleet is deep in Roman territory, ready to wreak havoc. Unless, of course, Rome chooses to cede Carthage and Saguntum to the Egyptians. If they choose this route, there will be no violence.
06 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 8: The Persians offer a similar deal as long as the Egyptians receive their requested territories.
In exchange for Dal and Vind the Persian armies will cease their invasions and reopen trade to the Romans since the 'War for Greece', by doing so the Persians can turn their attentions to the far east where a land known as 'India' holds the Silk Road.

The God-Emperor awaits the Roman Republic to reply to the two offers.
06 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 8: Guys, are you offering a draw?
06 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 8: Not necessarily
06 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 8: Just gibberish then
06 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 9: We're basically waiting for you to surrender to us.
06 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 9: Sure
07 Apr 16 UTC That was an impressive convoy chain!
07 Apr 16 UTC Guys, you are meta-gaming. I won't argue and I don't care
07 Apr 16 UTC We really arent
07 Apr 16 UTC I guess you'll find out once the game is over but I assure you we are not.
07 Apr 16 UTC As Roma falls to the Persian Empire, the God-Emperor keeps his word and secedes Crete and Cypus to the Egyptians. He also offers up Beleaeres to his long-term ally and seeks to establish peace across the land.
He educates his children and helps prepare them for the eventual expansion eastward. The land known as India shall know Persian rule in time.
08 Apr 16 UTC Awesome game guys, I'll mark you down as a trustworthy ally Ultimate. To bad Greece tilted the game for me and Egypt at the beginning.
08 Apr 16 UTC With Rome righteously defeated, Egypt and Persia's friendship only grows, and peace is established across the world as their conquests continue to further lands. Julius Caesar is captured, made to bow before both leaders, and sentenced to lifelong exile on the main island of Beleares with constant guard in the Berber Sea, Tarroco and Saguntum. Never again will he spread evil.
08 Apr 16 UTC Fireplay5, it was a pleasure being your ally, and our partnered victories were wonderful. I hope you play again with you soon.
08 Apr 16 UTC Behind the usual gibberish, Egipt played for Persia. Clearly meta-gaming
08 Apr 16 UTC No we really didn't and I don't appreciate being called a liar about something like that.
08 Apr 16 UTC We were anonymous players and I took a risk by setting Egypt up as my main ally. I almost asked you but that clearly would have been a horrible idea since your paranoid.
08 Apr 16 UTC Facts speak clearer than words
08 Apr 16 UTC I'd like to hear what evidence you have to say that we were meta-gaming?
08 Apr 16 UTC I really don't appreciate being accused of something that's incorrect.
08 Apr 16 UTC It is sometimes very hard to accept, but when you have two very strong, unbreakable allies fighting you it is very unlikely you will succeed. Persia offered to keep me in the game when I took over Greece, an offer I refused, if I had accepted that doesn't mean we were all cheating and the same applies to the Persian Eygptian alliance.

It was a fair game I would have like to have been there from the start and could maybe have joined forces with the Romans, although perhaps they lack a bit of imagination!
08 Apr 16 UTC I wanted to try and keep everybody alive in at least one province, except for mAXIN of course since there was no way I could really stop Ultimate from killing him off without risking our alliance or endangering Ultimate's ability to later assist my invasion into Italy.
08 Apr 16 UTC Thanks for the support Droid, I'm glad at least some of the players on Webdiplomacy are open-minded.
