06 Mar 16 UTC GG. I guess this is a fair outcome after all the CDs. See you around.
06 Mar 16 UTC GG guys. Unfortunate of the CDs
07 Mar 16 UTC Yes. Fair result.
07 Mar 16 UTC Yeah I like it, easy points.
But Germany, why do you go east after I signal that I want to cooperate with you. The obvious thing is to take out England together.
And England why do you keep attacking me after I start attacking Germany(because he is not cooperating) and I signal you to work together?

This all seemed very weird to me. No coalition seemed possible at all in the west.
07 Mar 16 UTC This no messaging.... aka no alliances....
07 Mar 16 UTC That's not true. You can easely communicate through your moves and therefor work together. I've done it often, but most players here didn't seem to care for it.

Even in a no communication game, not cooperating is suicide.
07 Mar 16 UTC Fair points there, France. Went East AND North, though.

My thoughts were to give you a free hand with England, and make gains elsewhere, particularly Scandinavia.
07 Mar 16 UTC It made it impossible for me to take England because he has more fleets, I needed you support to take him out. Together we can do it, if we don't he is a threat to both of us.
When you went east you only gave me one option: attack you and try to make peace with England. I could hold of England forever because of equal fleet, but couldn't make any progress. Attacking you however was not that difficult because your armies where in the east.
I always prefer working together with Germany against England when I'm France, That is a strong alliance if you can take out England. You don't interfere with each other, you can easely defend so there is a lot of trust and you are really strong together. If you ignore England then offcourse that alliance is worthless.
07 Mar 16 UTC I actually prefer it vice versa when I am france.... team up with england to take out germany sea+land assault
07 Mar 16 UTC Yes, and then after Germany is gone you have a gigantic fleet in your north threatening you for the rest of the game. I don't like that.
After you take out England together with Germany you don't have to worry about Germany because it is easely defendable with 3 armies.
However you can't always choose who to ally with.
07 Mar 16 UTC i would rather see a fleet that can easily be blocked by 3-4 armies near the seas then armies on my borders It helps easily take the issue of dance being blocked off via land in the middle, england can take russia after germany is down and france can spread to austria/Italy
07 Mar 16 UTC My experience with an F/E alliance aren't to good. England always is in the advantage because he has an easy corner and controls the seas.
Having all your armies at the English coast as France is not very practicle. Having only 3 armies to defend against Germany however is very easy.
07 Mar 16 UTC Fair enough i guess people will have their preferred strategies =P
07 Mar 16 UTC France, you signalled me to work together, then immediately built yet another fleet in Brest and remained firmly in EC.

What I don't get is why would you even attack me in the first place after we had a nice no-aggression thing right out the gate with EC open. And then you attacked Germany as well even though he had three fleets that he was obviously going to use against me had you not interfered. (of course after you take me out you would've stabbed Germany and he might not like that prospect)
07 Mar 16 UTC Well first of all, it happened to often to me where England goes to Scandinavia first and then in year 2 builds a new fleet to come to the EC. Certainly in a gunboat match.
I signalled you in Spring 03 for the first time, I only build an extra fleet at end of 04 because you attacked me anyway and you were moving 3 fleet around the EC so I needed a third to defend myself because I needed to EC to defend Belgium against Germany.

The reason why I decided to go against Germany was because he kept building armies and went east and didn't even attack England onec. Even if he would go against England with me he would grow to big to fast and there would have been no points in there for me because he would probably solo, certainly if England is gone.
So the only logical thing I could do was go against Germany before he gets to big and hope England would cooperate.
07 Mar 16 UTC Well that's gunboat for you. But as long as you were in EC and MAO you couldn't hope to get me to cooperate.
