03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: We should play for real money |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: Quick question |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: How do I play this |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: You just make random moves and hope for the best, that's how I've been playing |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: but bogdan has also been helped by me. There's a help thing in the top right that might be a bit of use. Otherwise, I can likely explain a bit tomorrow during school. |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: You'll have a slight disadvantage because you won't know how to play yet (a larger one because you're italy but history aside) but you should be fine enough. Know that this game is called Diplomacy for a reason. work out deals with people, backstab others, do what you can to win. In the end, there can be only one winner. Friends may become enemies. Enemies may become friends. All in the pursuit of getting 18 supply centers before anyone else. (There's 35 on this map so at most it can be only one winner.) |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: And finally, if there comes a point in time we all think we can't progress further (There are "stalemate lines" in the game where neither side can win unless one side gives the victory.) then we can all vote to Draw. We can also vote to cancel the game entirely or to pause the game's timer. |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: Also, everyone's accounts started at 100 points. I believe if you go under it, you just get bumped back up, but know that you basically get bragging rights for being higher. This game gives points to any survivors, but if someone wins with 18 centers, they get all of it. |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: Yes, he helped me, and don't worry, I was Italy last game, as long as you form an alliance with someone, you should be good |

04 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: Yeah, I just wanted to say something so I could mess up the "Democratic People's..." And that was the first thing to come to mind lol |
