01 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1994: What even is the scaling of that. |
01 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1994: I don't know, I didn't make the graph, but you can see the ratios. |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1995: I call upon the leaders of the world for help. I am under attack. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Attention all. Never trust Spain, he's a liar and his country used to hate Jews. Also he allied with Italy and nobody should trust Italy. He smells weird and, frankly, most Italians are Mafiosos, and you can't trust someone like that. Anyhow, I'm basically going to give up right now because I'm in dead last place and also Spain betrayed me just like they did in Alternative World. I have no chance at winning a game as Egypt, so I'm gonna let Turkey take my territory because he's the only person who seemed to actually have an alliance with me. Yeah, I'm looking at you, Spain. I will never give my territory to those filthy Italians. Spain is out too. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: sore looser much? |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Hey now, let's all be civil. After all, it's just Diplomacy. I don't see how Spain breaking an alliance for Italy's gain was strategically helpful, but he chose to do so. That is the nature of the game. This goes for everyone: try not to take it personally when people backstab you. We're all friends here and a board game should have no bearing on that. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Egypt you haven't even lost yet, far from it. With a bit of diplomacy you could rise. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Also yes I agree with Jacob, this is just a game, were mean to each other on here but that means nothing in the real world. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: If you put yourself in the position to backstab you will have the upper hand, Like for example, I could easily backstab josh right now, but I won't, for two reasons, and josh knows them both. One I would start a war that is right next to my home supply center making it easy for me to lose, and two, statistically he and I are the least likely to survive, draw, or solo, and so for us both to work together gives us a better chance of surviving. I gave myself the upper hand by initiating the conversation and putting the pieces out on the table. now I know I have an ally in josh, and he knows that he has an ally in me. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: You should backstab Josh. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: No, because a fight that close to my supply centers would be a risk I am not willing to take. It would be more advantageous to surround myself in allies than enemies. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: I don't actually care passionately about getting backstabbed. I just want to make my final statement funny. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: there is no reason for a final statement yet. If you ally with the right people you will come out of this a victor. |
06 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1996: "I'm gonna let Turkey take my territory because he's the only person who seemed to actually have an alliance with me." now hes attacking you |
06 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1996: Yeah I know. Eventually you need to attack adjacent territories that have a lesser chance of winning. |
06 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1996: Your learning |
06 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1996: I just bounced my own move...I'm so good at this game |
06 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1996: yes, yes you are |
10 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1997: Turkey, avenge my death. Unleash your wrath on these heathens. |
