30 Jan 16 UTC | Spring, 1994: Hi Everybody! Don't worry about this being a serious game. Just figure out how to move around and take over supply centers. |
30 Jan 16 UTC | Spring, 1994: In four days an SRS "classic map" game will start. It's here: http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=173492 |
31 Jan 16 UTC | Autumn, 1994: Hmm.... need to make the rounds more than one day... peeps seem to need more time to check in. Might try a three day limit so that tutoring can take place. |
02 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1995: To talk to people click on that country's tab and type in the message. |
02 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1995: And hit send. |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Oh wow -- how did Italy pull that off?! |
03 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: And nice job England and Turkey. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Ukraine -- you need to SUPPORT MOVE to displace enemies. For example. move RUM to BUL, and use your Western Black Sea to "SUPPORT MOVE" RUM--> BUL. That means you will attack with the power of 2 and displace Italy's army there. Now, if Italy uses Greece to "SUPPORT HOLD" the unit in Bulgaria, that would create a power of two, and your attack would bounce. But Italy wants this to be a practice game and will let you move in! |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Italy does. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Have you guys realized that the red lines show the last turn's movement, yellow lines show that support was given, and purple lines show retreat? |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: I am going to "convoy" my army in Navarra to Wales... so notice that two boats will be involved in that process. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: By the way, England, I am not invading any of your supply centers. I am just visiting my sick old Welsh mother. I have some baguettes and french fries for her. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: France has gone from friendly tutor to all out war, we should bond together against him. |
04 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1995: I will crush you all. |
06 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1996: Ok -- other players -- it is time to let the new players take over the map. Let's see if they can figure out how to support / convoy themselves around. |
06 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1996: France stands down and invites all comers to steal our croissants. |
08 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1997: So does Poland, granted I don't think you'd want anything we have. |
09 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1997: So does that mean you guys are just standing down and letting everyone else just come in and takeover? |
09 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1997: Yeah. The newbies. Who need an intro. |
09 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1997: so if we quit can a new player come and take over our position as the country where playing as? |
