26 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1901: good luck, hope it doesn't keep happening
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: oh germany...come on man..
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: Well, I'll order Cancel, but if everyone else is up for playing, I'm all game still
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: im happy to play
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: I am as well.
26 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1902: definitely let's play
26 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1902: Well damn. Looks like taking over old Germany's game was a terrible move, hahah.
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1902: it doesn't cost any points i suppose! nor ghost rating (I think..)
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1902: Na, it doesn't. The 4 car pile up was kinda funny though.
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1902: If you know what's good for you, France you'll try to keep England in check and not just be her lackey.
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1902: germany right now looks very reminiscent if how the allies split it after ww2... if only italy was america
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1902: But it took 6 years during WW2, in this game it only took 2 years...!
26 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1902: haha, germany fought back a little more back then
26 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1903: Don't be a Moron, France. England WILL win this if you don't throw in an elbow.
26 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1903: well damn. the ghost of germany has a voice...
27 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1909: well, thanks for the game guys! it was interesting enough. ideally, when i moved on Italy, England would have taken the chance on France too - but it was not to be! It seems it can be a decent end-game now however, though I'd probably place my bet on France at this stage!
27 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: k guys. time to draw.
this game is 50 50.. and we wont help anyone solo.
27 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: No way man. Bloodfight now between England and France.
27 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: enough out of you german ghost
27 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: id be happy with a draw... i fancy going to bed. its 2:44 for me...
27 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1910: france vote draw!
27 Jan 16 UTC england your greediness cost you the game
27 Jan 16 UTC congrats france
27 Jan 16 UTC Sorry, once I saw an opening I had to go for it. Good game all!
27 Jan 16 UTC i for one welcome our new french overlords.
well deserved!
27 Jan 16 UTC Thanks Russia.
27 Jan 16 UTC england if you hadnt have fought me while i was trying to help you, you would have gotten this game...
you only hurt yourself by taking your first lines of defense out of the game
27 Jan 16 UTC good game indeed! and a great comeback by the French, to race to a Win at that position!
27 Jan 16 UTC congratulations

you took out the forces leading your way into austria.
why? where is the benefit in that for you?
27 Jan 16 UTC hope to see you in the future in a more competitive role. thank you for a great first game of diplomacy in my life

27 Jan 16 UTC ha!
italy as well.
and i also started about a week ago.
and i suspect england is new to the game...?
27 Jan 16 UTC Italy's start still puzzles me but I guess once a player misses the first phase everyone goes for it.
27 Jan 16 UTC If Italy would have made any of its two 50/50 chances against Turkey, T would have been dead, and Italy would have built to stop France up a bit. But it was not to be...

For me, I could not defend on two fronts - and with Turkey still alive in my back, there was not much hope for me. I took away defences vs England, to try concentrate defences vs France, but it did not tempt either of E/F to stab...
27 Jan 16 UTC i'd say italy was whispered to in the ear by the great austrian empire :)
and they ain't new to the game!
27 Jan 16 UTC austria, why did you stab me for one SC?
kind of puzzled me... why not wait for a better time?
27 Jan 16 UTC @Russia: With four armies, one fleet, and Italy in Munich and Bulgaria, it was the logic thing for me to do. There was no other way I could use my units, other than holding...

Turkey would go down either way - though it did not since Turkey made the right 50/50 selection 3 or 4 times in a row..
27 Jan 16 UTC yeah, but for one SC? it didnt pay off.. i concentrated everything i had on you from that point on
27 Jan 16 UTC i told my russian friend not to give up until the end and we outlasted the austro-italian evil alliance :P
27 Jan 16 UTC outlasted?
we masterminded their demise from our little post in the black sea :)
giving france munich, and greece.
leading the way for england into budapest (only to be stopped... by england).

27 Jan 16 UTC @Russia Yes, but look at the map from that season. There was no other things to do for me at that stage. It was not a problem to fight you either. Your units did not really cause any harm, until the stage where it was too late anyway.

And the idea was that you would be held off , while Turkey was finished off :)
27 Jan 16 UTC turkey. but you were lucky england stabbed himself and stopped me from attacking you.
in spring 04 you had no defenses against 4 of my units.
if you would have gotten me involved in turkey before you stabbed me you would have been much better off i think.
27 Jan 16 UTC ha ha..
the first word was supposed to be "true" not "turkey"
this game is starting to get to me
27 Jan 16 UTC can't wait to play it live though... not enough time for a person not familiar with the map and how the site needs to be refreshed - i was shark food basically from the get go :D
27 Jan 16 UTC ha ha.
my first game was england.
somehow i almost won.. ended in a three way draw.. not sure how i did it because i had a weak grasp of the rules not to mention an established strategy.
i was like a dog behind the wheel. trying to fake competence

27 Jan 16 UTC they were talkng about DMZs and breaking stalemate, had no idea what the hell they were talking about. i just kept agreeing while sounding suspicious and it worked :)
