10 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2003: IF Austin could just move
10 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2003: Lets go Hindley
10 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2003: he's moving in steel beams i expect him to move any minute
10 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2003: GO DURNSVILLE TIGERS!
10 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2003: Probably the funniest thing I've seen all day
11 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2004: That thread is vicious
14 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2004: I think that retreats could bounce, that's kind of funny
15 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2004: NEED ONE MORE PERSON FOR "studmuffins" password is "studmuffins"
16 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2005: Quebec, you just looked at the board an hour ago. Why didn't you build?
16 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2005: Never mind. I meant BC and I see now that you DID build. I'm an idiot.
16 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2005: Are you waiting for one of us to disagree?
16 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2005: Haha. Nope. Ya'll know me well enough to know that I am an idiot.
16 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2005: I'm trying to avoid work at the moment. Can someone tell British-Columbia to hit the ready button so I can stare at this map for 30 minutes.
16 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2005: Wohoo. Now tell Heartland to retreat to Iowa so I can stare at this map for another 30 minutes.
16 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Why did the school want to block this site so bad? It's actually educational (it teaches psychology and geography and promotes critical thinking skills at the least) and I gaurentee all of us playing it have higher grades than most people in our school. That's so dumb
16 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Hey Schluep have you heard anything from the teachers about this being blocked?
16 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: No. But I'm not surprised that it is. Teachers tend to get annoyed when students are playing games during class, even if it is an educational game. There is no math teacher who cares that you are learning geography and war tactics.
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: This is so dumb, it's an educational game. Well looks like we resort to plan B, playing on our phones.
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Yea they cannot stop us from doing that
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: ....I hope
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: ORRR.... Schleup, what's your lightspeed password?
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: What Schluep says makes sense, even if it's dumb they banded us over that.
And good one Teo, we'll probably just use Schluep's password every time we want to play diplomacy, they'll never notice that XD
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Lmao. I'll go talk to someone today and see if there is an option to get it unblocked outside of school hours. Like the website is blocked from 7:40-2:34 and that's it. Maybe that's an option on the webwasher
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Yeah, that's a good idea
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Yeah, that's a good idea
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Or maybe we can just bribe the tech guys and they will just say it is blocked but only we will know it isn't.
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: We are going to have to work out some sort of compromise.

It wasn't blocked because of teacher complaints but because you guys spent 400 hours on the site in one week. Behind Google apps and classroom, it was the third most visited site in the entire school.

Unblocking it before and after school is probably not going to happen. I think the Tech guys would have to do it each day, which I'm not going to ask them to do.

I'm taking any compromise ideas you have.
Here are a couple ideas I have:
* I create a Google Classroom that you must join in order to play on the Chromebook. All players in that Classroom self-police the other students so no one is playing on a Chromebook who doesn't have my approval.
* Grades remain above a certain level in order to be approved to play on the Chromebook.
* All players sign an agreement to not open the site except during study hall, lunch, and outside of school hours.

What else do you have in mind?
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: I think those would all work out, I rarely play in class anyway
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: I think those are all really good. Would popping on in between classes be allowed though?
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: For simplicity sake, I would suggest a no for between classes.

It is going to stay blocked over break. Then it will be revisited.

I'm pretty sure it will get unblocked, but we need to be very careful.

Maybe even use the Google classroom for communications in order to limit time on the site.
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: BY THE WAY, if/when this is unblocked, it will be on me to make sure things don't get out of control again. I will be counting on you guys.
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: I think all this ideas are good, their are other people that play though so we are going to need to communicate all of this with them somehow.
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Maybe we can bribe the tech guys with friends......
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: Mexico, hit the "Ready" button!
17 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: I'll take care of the blocked situation, but you need to hit the READY button when you are ready. I'm neurotic. Help me out.
18 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: I'm on my way home from my wreslting match. I will make the move later tonight when I have desktop access. I apologize for the inconveniences.
18 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: I also will be at a wrestling tournament all day tomorrow, so please do not expect me to make my moves in a timely manner. Again I wish to apologize for the delays.
18 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2005: No worries. I understand. I'm just kidding when I hurry ya'll along.
21 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2006: Is a day and a half too short of a time to set moves?
21 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2006: these kids need to pick a new religion cause Christmas is bogging it down lol
21 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2006: I vote we draw this one and start a new one with those who are interested.
21 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2006: Yeah, I'd be for that
21 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2006: vanyo, cards tonight?
22 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 2006: I'm down to draw wrestling just took up my whole weekend and I forgot to move
22 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2006: We'll just keep playing until everyone draws or the game finishes.
24 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2006: We just need Austin and Christian to vote for the draw
24 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2006: Ya. A draw is what makes sense in this scenario.
24 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 2006: It's not much of an actual game if some people are playing and others aren't. That's why I stopped.

No hard feelings. I get it. Things become busy sometimes.

It's really time to move on to a different board.
25 Dec 15 UTC We should've knocked the weak before drawing. Oh well.
28 Dec 15 UTC good times, fellas. I hope to play another game with ya'll soon.
