29 Nov 15 UTC | Spring, 1994: Hello everybody. I wish you all good luck and good game. |
29 Nov 15 UTC | Spring, 1994: Good luck! |
29 Nov 15 UTC | Spring, 1994: Have fun one and all. |
02 Dec 15 UTC | Autumn, 1994: Italy, you sure are popular. Three different people supported your moves! |
02 Dec 15 UTC | Autumn, 1994: I've got friends in high places, what can I say? |
03 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: We now appear to have 2 non-active countries. At what point does this become a cancel? |
03 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: Who else is non-active? I just see Egypt. |
03 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: He is referring to Russia not building a fleet at Rostov to make it a full-house at the Black Sea. |
03 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: Well, unfortunately my experience is that you are going to cancel any game if players become inactive. So i guess the rest of the players will continue. It will be fine and the surrounding countries may call themselves lucky. |
03 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: I totally agree, Spain! |
03 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: Maybe it was just a missed turn, but if Russia is really out of the game, then I do think a cancel is appropriate. That would be two inactives on the same side of the board. |
03 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: Russia isn't listed as missing the last phase, though, which is interesting. Russia, please confirm you are still in the game. |
03 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: Is the builds considered a "phase"? Might not show up until you miss a Spring or Autumn. |
04 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: Neither was Egypt considered to have missed the first phase. I recall reading in the forum something about it only being properly considered an NMR if the player doesn't even bother to open the game. Which equals saying someone can technically not enter orders at all several times and do don't CD. Anyway, if Russia ends up missing phases, given that Egypt was never present, I think we should either draw (so that they get a CD in their records) or cancel. |
04 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: Or not. I just remembering I once played a very exciting crappy modern in which basically everyone NMR'd at some point (to the extend I gave it so little importance I NMR'd myself and lost great opportunities), but it ended up being interesting anyway. |
05 Dec 15 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Russia missed the phase. I guess we are going to cancel. I did have high hopes for this game since it had a higher stake than the one you normally see. Just surprised that it being a lot of points, people did still miss phases. Anyway, it was exciting, and i had a hard position, so i am ok with whatever all you decide. Cancel?. |
05 Dec 15 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Well, we just got a new Egypt it looks like. |
08 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 1996: Hi all I'm the new owner of Russia. |
18 Dec 15 UTC | Autumn, 1997: sorry turkey and italy. i really had make so many mistakes, i overreact and misjudge, besides no settling with one strategy, which is an important thing. Sometimes you win sometimes you just get a lesson. I wish i had been more cold temper. Still good lesson. From now on, i will attempt to survive, if possible, that would be ok, if not, then it was a good match. This also means that i am up to give any favor without asking anything exchange. |
20 Dec 15 UTC | Autumn, 1997: Will be traveling over the next few days. Shouldn't have trouble getting orders in on a 36 hour time scale, but may be intermittent in communication. |
