Autumn, 1910: All that talk of a 2W and then I fell behind in the centre count. Then I bollixed a recent turn and lost Ankara. That wasn't everything, for sure, but I certainly wasn't playing to give Austria the solo. :)
Autumn, 1910: Italy, I've been around the game for a long time and I can tell you it is very very very difficult to actually pull off a two way draw. Both countries have to have exactly 17 centers. One country is usually to 17 before the other and that is the country that solo's almost every time.
Autumn, 1910: I have to agree with England on one point: Why hasn't Italy moved his fleets in Tyrr and Wes East to deal with Austria? Handing Austria a win on a silver platter.....
Autumn, 1910: I'd prefer gold
Autumn, 1910: See, I legitimately thought...let's get that convoy going to pressure Germany. Realistically, as soon as Austria hit 11, I should have conceded that the 2W was not going to happen.
Autumn, 1910: Guys, can we all just finalize and end this early?
Autumn, 1910: I'll get to it once I've double checked my moves.
Autumn, 1910: Whenever you're ready, Draffin
Autumn, 1910: UNLUCKY SON!
Autumn, 1910: I'm back on two centres, look out world!
Autumn, 1910: Jesus, all this stress over 25 points, split 4 ways. Ugh!
Autumn, 1910: Well, RIP solo effort As I promised...I will vote to draw immediately after Russia is dead. If you don't know how this could be accomplished, I am happy to write up a way to eliminate Russia without overly risking my solo Thanks -Austria |
|
Autumn, 1910: We're not falling for that. Ever vigilant. Ever on guard! :)
Autumn, 1910: Then Austria shall never surrender!
Autumn, 1910: Yeah, I'm not giving up Russia this time. This war can go for eternity if it needs to.
Autumn, 1910: YAY RUSSIA!
Autumn, 1910: Well RIP 100,000 new soldiers
Autumn, 1910: Just a heads-up that I'll be at a Super Important Thing and I won't know if I have wi-fi or not. I'd like a pause Wednesday and we'll see where it goes from that, but hopefully I'll be ready to unpause by Tuesday after.
Autumn, 1910: (Probably earlier, though, depends on if I have internet or not)
Spring, 1911: Austria's offered me a two way guys. I wanted to let you know that I've erred on the side of caution and decided to hear him out. But I don't want you to worry.
Spring, 1911: Austria is offering us a lot of stuff.
Spring, 1911: I think Austria should come to terms with the fact that the solo isn't happening, and the longer he prolonges his acceptance of the 4-way dray, the more likely he'll guess wrong and Italy will break through in the Med. With only two fleets, it's only a matter of time before he's overrun in the south.
Spring, 1911: ^ Agreed | |
Spring, 1911: Austria has already came to terms with the fact that the solo isn't happening, however Austria has other plans in mind
Spring, 1911: Austria Posterior See what I did there. |
|
Spring, 1911: It didn't really work, but I went for it anyway
Spring, 1911: Russia, don't tell them about our 2WD plans! Curse you!
Spring, 1911: Russia, don't tell them about our 2WD plans! Curse you!
Spring, 1911: At least I'm keeping quiet about our deal ;)
Spring, 1911: Did you send that message twice just to square things up?
Spring, 1911: MOAAAR PUNS!
Spring, 1911: If Italy doesn't show up, we should probably make certain we get an admin to pause the game so that it doesn't jeopardize the game.
Spring, 1911: It's 9 hours. I just want to make sure I can convoy to Spain.
Spring, 1911: Okay, I hadn't seen you show up at that point. Just wanted to make certain :)
Spring, 1911: cough-cough - Italy, Russia please vote pause
Spring, 1911: We have some more quick turns to get through before your super important thing, right?
Spring, 1911: Right, but this way I can choose when to vote pause
Autumn, 1911: Hmm, maybe we won't even need to the pause.
Autumn, 1911: Yeah, but you being the good guy you are, will support hold Kiel until your dying breath.
Autumn, 1911: By the way Austria how long do you need a pause for? I go on holiday tomorrow for 10 days and will have infrequent access to the internet. So i may need to have the pause extended until I'm back. Or Austria could just agree to draw....jus' saying'. |
|
Autumn, 1911: Week or so
Autumn, 1911: So... I'm the German nation, without any German centers... So am I still German? Or am I like the remnants of France and England, cobbled together under a Germanic ruler? Perhaps I'm the "Exiled Germanic Republic" (Or empire, your choice)... Lots to consider. |
|
Autumn, 1911: These problems are much easier when you're too big to have a national identity! The Finnish-Slavic-German-Italian-Greek-Romanian-Turkish Empire |
|
Autumn, 1911: ^ Italian??
Autumn, 1911: Trieste = Slovenia = partially Italian IIRC
Autumn, 1911: Russia, please ready up
Quite the good game there. Definitely had us on the ropes Austria. Well played by everyone I feel.
Good game everyone! Germany, thanks for being strong.
Despite all of the random bickering, it was a very enjoyable game. Let's do it again sometime.
