05 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1901: Good evening ladies and gentlemen. The year is 1901 and as a new century dawns I think we can all agree that advances in science and culture have ushered in an era where peace at last is possible and war will forever be banished to the history books of a more barbaric age.
06 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: 5 way split if italy and england dc?
07 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hi All, new management in Italy.
07 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: I don't know how that works.
07 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1902: I'd be up for drawing it. England not being there really screws with the balance between the two spheres
07 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1902: Actually, England and Italy are the two nations we leave out when we're playing the board game with 5 players.
07 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1902: true, but there is a new player in italy now. which is the country you leave out in a 6 player game. but whatever. I've hit the draw button. up to the rest of you guys
11 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: haha well i screwed this up badly
11 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: You have no friends.
Nobody likes you.
#Gollum
#NorthKorea
11 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: New to the game... but is the point to make friends? I mean I've heard Diplomacy called "the game that destroyed a thousand friendships."
11 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Or more seriously asked, in general how long are alliances supposed to last in the game?
12 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: As long as you want. Some people stay with their allies to the end, even if they won't win, some always take advantage of their opportunities, even against allies if they think they can pull it off.
12 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Some people feel it is wrong to stay with your ally in a WTA game if your ally will win. But it is Diplomacy, all bets are on the table.
12 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: There isnt a *right* way to play the game imho
12 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: or wrong way. :)
12 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1905: I'll keep asking for advice all the same. My impression is that it is a balance between strategy, communication and intuition all of which can be developed (learned).
17 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Hey guys,
I'm going to relocate to China tomorrow.
Can we please pause this game for 1 week?
17 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: cool with me
18 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1908: Ok, I've set for Unpause for when Russia is established in China.
20 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1908: Thank you for pausing. Tonight im gponna have good internet again i guess
21 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1908: Thank ypu again
we can unpause now
21 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1908: Could austria please click unpause?
21 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1908: Yea sorry been having some internet issues
25 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1909: Sorry guys my internet didnt work
25 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1909: France called to cancel your service. :)
25 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1910: france is not strong enough to hold his gain. I will be back in Force at once
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1911: Now that Russia is in CD can we just draw now or would that still be a 4way draw?
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1911: would be a 3-way
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1911: Let's do it then
29 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1912: Congrats Turkey, nice win! Nothing I could do. I should have known better to enter a running game and take over an inactive player.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1917: come on italy, lets draw this thing
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1917: Don't do it Italy, you can beat them both :)
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1917: Gooooo Italy!!!!!
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1917: jealous
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1917: Sorry gang, I must honor my commitment to draw with France and Turkey, and not attack them. Surely, we can find peace in our time. :)
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1917: No, I think we were cheering that you outlasted us, not encouraging you to go win the game... that at least was my statement.

But the Germans will rise again! History does not allow any peace to last but instead is forged by blood and iron... sadly this time it was my people's blood.
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1917: I feel robbed, 55 d's lol. Never trust a Russian account
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1917: Yep, thought so. Turkey wins.
07 Sep 15 UTC Good game guys. early on in the game it certainly didn't look like i could pull it off, but a too trusting russia paved my way. special thanks to italy for just letting me take your SC's here towards the end :)
