09 Aug 15 UTC France, why on earth did you abandon MAO??? Germany could not get those last 3 centers he needed until you did that. Moving to WMed was recoverable, but then you moved to Tyrr and the game was over.
09 Aug 15 UTC Absolutely no reason to move to Tyrr Sea, you couldn't even build another unit even if you took a center from me. I was capped at 15-16 centers even if I took all of the Turkish centers from Italy, Germany was clearly the solo threat as he had your centers surrounded.
09 Aug 15 UTC I had it anyway Yale - even if he didn't abandon MAO, I still had the numbers to force my way in easily, then Mar was mine, then one of Spa or Por. It didn't really matter. You two needed more fleets supporting Mar and Spa. If anything, you shouldn't have kept attacking Italy, since even if you did get the builds, it would have been too late.
09 Aug 15 UTC Well played 2wl, always takes a bit of the sting out when you get beaten by a mod! For my part, I think I played way too indecisively to make any headway, left myself wide open for a stab, tried to hide in Turkey and eke out some part of a draw, and generally did not play my best game. Agree with both your EOG's, not sure why fleets from France/Austria kept drifting my way, as Germany was clearly the solo threat. Oh well, best of luck in the remaining games.

10 Aug 15 UTC If he had stayed in MAO I could have moved Tun to WMed and I had two other fleets I could move over if needed. Once he moved to Tyrr there was no point in me trying to send the other fleets over as they couldn't get anywhere useful in time.
10 Aug 15 UTC So I figured I would go fight Italy some more.
10 Aug 15 UTC Congrats 2WL. I tried to deviate from my typical juggernaut friendly opening. Didn't work out. Oh well, fun learning experience.
10 Aug 15 UTC 2wl, you could eventually dislodge him from Mao, but he would have been able to retreat to Por and I had an army in Pie to support his unit in Mar and I would have had Tun in WMed by that point and a second fleet in Tun or NAfr (it was in Adr in Fall 08 so would have been in tun in Fall 09 if needed).
10 Aug 15 UTC I totally fucked it up. And trust me I was kicking myself. I really, really don't know what on earth I was thinking of. I do think 2wl would've done it anyway but it was a really stupid move from me.
