22 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2001: [Pacific-Russia]:haha
25 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2002: [Quebec]:Wow, talk about the rise of China
25 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2002: [USA]:Peaceful rise no doubt, just like in real life. :)
25 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2002: [China]:Chartreuse is such a pretty color!!
26 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Libya]:Getting destroyed... But hey, at least i'm not the first to go :P
26 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Pacific-Russia]:China Backstabbed
26 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Pacific-Russia]:Biggest backstabber ever watchout russia and india
26 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: [China]:Sadly, you tried to work myself, India and Russia against each other and we all saw through it. You should have picked an ally. You would have lived.
26 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Pacific-Russia]:i picked you
26 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Pacific-Russia]:but you lied and you took my land so
26 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: [Oz]:Welcome to Diplomacy.
26 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: [USA]:Though you have to figure that any country that stabbed all the time in real life wouldn't do very well.
27 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2003: [Oz]:This is not real life though.
27 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2003: [USA]:Sure, but real life works the way it does for reasons that still apply here. I think people are too willing to backstab and others are too willing to ignore that when making alliances with former backstabbers. Furthermore, alliances of convenience are far less durable than ones that are based on a long history of cooperation. If everyone is going to be engaging in this kind of behavior, there's no incentive to use a different logic, but it just seems odd that this is the way this game (Diplomacy) has evolved.
27 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2003: [Oz]:The incentive to use a different logic is that this is a game. A place where you don't have to adhere to the real life rules.
27 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2003: [USA]:You don't have to adhere to real life rules in real life either. The point is that it's advantageous to do so.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:So, who wants to invade the backstabbing Chinese?
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Libya]:Seems he already reached critical mass, soon there's no stopping him...
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [China]:Seriously, critical mass is 13 SCs?? HA!
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Libya]:In this early stage it pretty much is.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Western-Canada]:China, you control the east asian coast and have a good 'foot in the door' to the indian coast. this is pretty good for 3 years in
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:Look, they betrayed Pacific Russia, their ally. They betrayed me, their ally. Does that make any of you want to ally with them? I'm just saying, watch your backs.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [USA]:China's build position doesn't lend itself well to rapid expansion at this point. He doesn't have a single foreign base within 2 moves of his bases.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [China]:I was never allies with PR. You made allies with someone else and limited my ability to expand without discussing with me, India. I wasnt the only one to move against you last turn. Im just saying, maybe you should work better with your allies, before crying wolf.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:How would you have invaded Near East? They are on the other side of me. I was allied with them before I was with you anyway. And last time I checked, I'm not your vassal. I don't need to check with you on everything that I do. Maybe you weren't allies with PR, but you formed a joint military invasion plan for taking out Russia with him, and then betrayed him. Stop telling me boldfaced lies. Just face the fact that you are a greedy warmonger.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Libya]:lol, so many ragefaces today, wish i would have survived longer.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Russia]:RAAAAAAAGE
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Oz]:And this is how wars start. :D
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [USA]:We need a war between Libya and India. I wonder who'll win.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:The wars already started.
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Oz]:Everyone else ;)
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Libya]:hahaha, that would be awesome. Eternal standoffs ;)
30 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2004: [Western-Canada]:I'm starting to think I'm immortal, I try to die with random moves but I'M NOT DYING!!! USA help out? lol
30 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2004: [Libya]:Somehow Kenya and Ghana seem to leave me alone with just 1 support center. Wow.
30 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2004: [India]:Western Canada, I will help you out.
30 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2004: [India]:Please
30 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2004: [Western-Canada]:i feel ya
03 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Western-Canada]:let me keep sas and alberta as ma territories ov yello maybe?
04 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: [USA]:Only if they don't have any oil.
05 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2006: [Western-Canada]:the near east looks good
08 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2007: [Ghana]:Guys, besides Oz we all are at about the same SCs count - lets draw the game - if we won't it will probably last for at least another 2-3 weeks and it will be totally random who will win imo..
08 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2007: [Near-East]:Second that
08 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2007: [USA]:But I can finally rake in the cash by controlling the Colombian drug market.
08 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2007: [Ghana]:Watch out for DEA :D
08 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2007: [USA]:It's been disbanded. :)
09 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 2007: [Near-East]:I am confused with those 50 shades of red. Who owns what now?
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 2008: [USA]:Kenya comes back, does nothing, leaves...
14 Dec 14 UTC [Ghana]:Argentina left:) Guys, lets split the pot in 4 and end this game now.. Seriously you want to continue it for another week or two?
14 Dec 14 UTC [USA]:Good game, everyone.
14 Dec 14 UTC [Ghana]:gg :)
