18 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1902: Sounds like an interesting variant... although away from real life. After all Germany never announced its intention to stab Russia in WWII. But maybe we could try that next :)
21 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm moving today so I'll be spotty for the next week. I'll pause if I need it but I hope I won't.
21 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: sounds good
23 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1903: Crap, I just realized I had put my provisional moves in and accidentally hit "ready." That's what I get for mostly playing on my phone.
06 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1905: gameID=147078 anyone up and wanna play a quick live game?
08 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: gg Turkey.
08 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: ok call it a 6 way shall we....
16 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Message to everyone (except Russia): are we going to stop the solo? If so we need to stop fighting and unite.
16 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Russian authorities have intercepted a message from Vienna. The Austro-Hungarian people cry out to us for liberation. They have been heard! Fear not! We are coming!
16 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: #TeamRussia
16 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Psshh. #TeamEngland #EnglishSolo
16 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1907: I like the way that man thinks!
16 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1907: Yes I think you could get good odds on an England come back right now :).... be a bit like being 5-0 down to Germany at football with 10 minutes to play.
16 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1907: If we all work together, it can happen. Who's on board? #EnglishSolo
16 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1907: Apparently Russia is.
18 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1907: Well done, everyone!
18 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Once eng is out i propose a draw
18 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: You've already proposed one. ;-)
18 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Screw you Austria! ;)
18 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Apologies my English friend, you will note I have already voted.
20 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Good game, superchunk. Thanks for everything. Sorry we couldn't make the #EnglishSolo happen.
20 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Russian authorities report that they have lost contact with a naval vessel whose navigational instruments may have been damaged. Gratitude is greatly bestowed upon French authorities, who have graciously sent out search parties to all Atlantic ports, but so far have seen no sign of the missing fleet has been reported.
20 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Italian forces have found said missing ship, which appears to be a fishing schooner.
20 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Russia is deeply indebted to the great Italian navy for their successful search mission off the cost of Africa. She would be most grateful to the mighty Italian navy if they would kindly escort the wayward vessel home via the Bosphorus.
20 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Arrrrrggggghhhhhhh.......... (Curtain closes)
22 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Good game England!
22 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: yep. now that I'm out you all can vote draw now.
26 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1908: Au Revoir
26 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1908: I see ya'll working to a 4way plus the eternal struggle of France vs Germany?
01 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 1909: ooooh 2way vs 2way
03 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 1909: Italy, you do realize this game is WTA right?
03 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: It is more appropriate you ask Germany that. Italy is quite aware of what he is doing as far as I know.
03 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: I figured Germany had a 2way deal. If not, then ... yeah.
03 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Germany is happy to fight me for a strong second in a WTA ghost rating tournament game I guess.
04 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: During this game a lot of players have said to me a lot of things. Almost all of you have put my strategy and judgment in doubt. Sometimes I've not had the time to talk with you enough, but even considering this, I believe I've done good moves.

I was 4 units behind the biggest power and I had Russia under my control in the north... of course I didn't count that Italy was going to throw everything to the window.

The questions in here are:
- Why I could never work with France? There are long chats between us that explains that. I would like to keep that for us, but the thing is there was not a place for both in the same map. We tried, but...
- Why did I do nothing to help Italy? Of course I didn't know Italy was going to give the game to Russia... and I couldn't do nothing before if he was not willing to help me against France. That would mean after stopping Russia, I was going to be the next one.

I guess playing a game that digs so deep on peoples emotions, this kind of things may happen.
04 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Well, the dices are thrown... and I publicly declare the war to the evil Russian empire. People of France and Italy! I don't like you, but you need to trust me. If we don't move together, there is no chance for our nations in this new world. Winter is not here yet ;)
05 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Too little too late, I think, my friend. Save your words for an EOG thread. This one is as good as over.
05 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: I'm glad you said that. I can rip it apart in an EOG.
05 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Yeah, I know it is over. I was trying to see if there is still alive a survival instinct in France and/or Italy, even when hope is minimal... but it seems Italy's disappointment and France's revenge feeling are bigger.

Well played Russia btw... but you had a bit of luck. It's not common to see someone to give a game for free after so much time fighting.
05 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Yes, of course. Luck is what this game is all about.
05 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: (But thank you.)
05 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Not revenge, resignation. Since your psychotic and unending attacks against me have continuously been bolstered by lies, I have no reason to trust you anyway.
05 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Well played Russia. Don't forget little old Austria in your analysis. It was tricky for me - I had wanted to be allied with Italy and Russia; but Russia positioned very aggressively against me (which as it turned out worked for him), meaning Italy was gaining little as I needed builds to keep my front against Russia strong.
Once Italy stabbed me I felt we were both doomed, as it turned out to be.
I had a good relationship with Germany throughout, but with France giving him pressure, we were not able to really help each other.
I had good relations with France also, but again he was not able to help me.
05 Oct 14 UTC Spring, 1910: It's not over until it's over, but thanks, KJ2.
08 Oct 14 UTC Great loosing strategy by F/G in destroyng England...
08 Oct 14 UTC Italy and Austria destroyed Turkey giving then all to Russia: a very clever strategy. Have you finally understand that without E/T Russia has an edge on winning in Diplomacy?
08 Oct 14 UTC Had italy not stabbed me we may not have had the same problem, although russia did well in persuading him...
09 Oct 14 UTC Ayreon, do you actually think that Germany and I colluded in any way during this game? He attacked me nonstop from the beginning and I'm pretty sure there were about five years or so where he refused to talk to me. Everything he did was his own individual action. I highly, highly regret killing England, and had I known Germany was so utterly incompetent, I wouldn't have.

The fact that Russia was able to solo through Italian, Austrian, and Turkish centers almost exclusively ought to show you that Germany handed this game to him and that neither Italy nor I could do a thing about it.
