20 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm on an iPhone too- I use chrome to check the game (free in the App Store) and Safari for my regular account. -ATC
21 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: NEW PARTNER WOOOO.... hopefully
21 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Unpause?
21 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Yes.
23 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: turkey and france, please select unpause
23 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Let's get this mofo goin!
23 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I am leaving it for my new partner to unpause. Just so that I know he has access. If its not done within anotber day I will just play
24 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm here (the new partner). Give me a moment to get caught up.
24 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: As Turkey is run by DocOct and a guy whose first two letters are Dr, we shall henceforth be called the Two Doctors.
24 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: It's medication time.
24 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Oh HELL no! I just solved a tough one that was expected to take 2 to 3 days in one day! I am freaking pumped! Dr. Augnar is in DA HOUSE!!!!!!!!!
25 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Ahem, the only Dr is me
25 Jun 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: actually im a stiff certified...wait...huh? -goose
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1903: OK, then I'll be the Master.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: It's amazing that even with two people a country can NMR
03 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: speak for yourself, I miss timed the phase and my partner has not been on apparently
03 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: LOL Apparently
04 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Hey, I'm here. I guess somebody finalized something and the turn ran quicker than I expected.
05 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Bah
07 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1904: The Turkish Government has collapsed due to lost leadership, apparently there is "no one home"
07 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1904: in other news, Hitler and his Triple alliance continue to push into French territories but perhaps he has made a mistake angering Stalin
07 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1904: I really need to keep closer tabs on this... Now that the holiday is over, I (draug) will venture to be better.
07 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1904: A bit late, but happy country days for any Americans and Canadians out there! And even though Hong Kong is not a country, hooray for them too!
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: I cant believe another fucking NMR
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: Twice the players, twice as likely to NMR, right?
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: Disappointing.
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: Having to remember to change accounts is difficult, especially for me because I have a lot of games going on already. Longer phases would help.
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: I use two browsers to avoid this problem.
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: I honestly think longer phases would make this even worse.
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: That's not a bad idea.
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: I use 2 browsers as well, and have both accounts up at same time, harder for tablet or phone though
09 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: I am just horribly addicted.
10 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: I really wish I could have committed to this more, I feel that is the key issue. The basic idea is sound but I don't often check up on diplomacy on my pc and its easier to do it on my phone but less easy to check this account
12 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: Oh no... Looks like there might be a nmr from Russia.
12 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Ugh, really? This is getting silly.
13 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Russia still hasn't checked in. A Russian CD at this point would be a great shame.
13 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Goose here
16 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Tin Can here: If Russia AND England NMR this phase, I propose we just wrap this up. Hell, even if it's just Russia gone, that's a major effect on the game.

Thoughts?

I want to add that I've really enjoyed playing with a partner, and with the countries who are checking the game, there's been some really interesting press. It's clearly not the same as just the regular 7-player game :)
16 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: I agree this has been a lot of fun, but using 2 accounts is a big hassle.

I'm hoping that we'll be able to pin games to our homescreens soon. We'll still have to use 2 accounts, but at least we won't forget about it.
16 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: this also is a great way for the school of war to be run
16 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: sorry for the nmr... i was having computer troubles...
16 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: We aren't sorry for the NMR, i guess we just stopped giving a shit.
16 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: I agree with Germany, this is a great way for SoW, but no way to know that TA's aren't submitting the moves.

On another note, let's just draw the game. It's messed up enough that it is way too unbalanced.
17 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: I think for the most part, this game was quite insightful....I learned a tremendous amount from my partner, Hamilton Brian, things that I some times take for granted and different courses of strategy. I hope the Admin and Program teams find a way to implement this type game in the regular accounts...this was a lot of fun....thank you to everyone who played, and I hope we can at least try another one
17 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Russia and england, do you plan to draw?
18 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Draug here. Real life has gotten in my way a bit lately and it is a pain in the but to have to logout and login under a new account to play the game. Anyhow, our draw vote is in.
19 Jul 14 UTC Russia. You are the only team to not vote draw and yet have stated you don't care about this game. Please resolve that discrepancy.
19 Jul 14 UTC Actually, you NMRd again, so I'll be resolving it for you.

Thanks to everyone for trying this variant. Hopefully we can take what we learned and make it better for next time.
19 Jul 14 UTC Anyone up for an eog, from each participant? At least from the active 4?
20 Jul 14 UTC Absolutely! I (Tin Can) will write something up early this week.
