24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: please do not kill me, i am not much of a threat. i have only ever won once, starts like this are common for me. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: There's an aspect of diplomacy called "early emerging leader". This occurs when one country takes a load of supply centres near the start of the game, and then the other countries create an alliance to make sure that one country doesn't win. Just because Russia has only one once doesn't give any reason not to attack (except for pity, which I have learnt (the hard way), doesn't exist in diplomacy). I've never won a game and judging by the bets most of us our probably beginners. A juggernaut alliance, which seems to be the relationship between russia and Turkey, is extremely dangerous, especially when russia has a strong foothold in the north. These are just observations to make everyone else more aware of what might happen based on whether or not there is an alliance against russia. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: i was just saying that i am not much of a threat. as you mentioned, there is usually an "early emerging leader" their leads don't usually last. i have alliances with everyone around me, and will soon not be able to expand very well. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: ...Unless you stab someone, which is what normally happens and is *likely* to happen. Not making any accusations, you can still expand into Austria. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: yeah, i forgot to mention austria, i don't have an alliance against them. i was thinking of a stab but prefer to give a warning to neighbors. i only do a stab if i need to, or if the person is way bigger than i am. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: hey guys, i made this game so please let me win. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: actually let's all team up on italy because we're waiting on him lmao |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: "Let's all team up on Italy" is not how I've heard the strategy before :p Russia: beginner with no experience or not, you're a threat by having 7 units turn 2. Even if you don't know what to do with them, we still have to find a way around them :p Turkey: you don't get the win just cuz you made the game :p but a juggernaut is a great way to attempt to earn it, so let's see what happens! |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Autumn, 1901: nah dude. i definitely deserve to win the game. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: and i only want to team up on italy because we're all waiting on italy to ready up. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: okay not anymore yay italy <3 |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: I could still be taken down though. I am not invincible or anything like that. I have 4 potential enemies. They together have more than twice my sc count. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: chill out guys. just play the game out! |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: And are all a few years worth of moves away. But patience, take the game as it happens. Can I just say how much more enjoyable this game is when people talk? A couple of my other games are near silent and that's not near as interesting |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: i just don't want to get killed early because people consider me a threat. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: actually, yeah, that's true. let's keep talking about russia. so, how are you russia? |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: He's probably cold. And super muscular from wrestling all those bears. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: good, my expansion is going well. so how is it down south? |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: it's pretty good down here. i got camels and a lot of oil. im rich af. |
24 Jan 14 UTC | Spring, 1902: Send us some of those tan curvy chicks too bruh |
