24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: please do not kill me, i am not much of a threat. i have only ever won once, starts like this are common for me.
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: There's an aspect of diplomacy called "early emerging leader". This occurs when one country takes a load of supply centres near the start of the game, and then the other countries create an alliance to make sure that one country doesn't win. Just because Russia has only one once doesn't give any reason not to attack (except for pity, which I have learnt (the hard way), doesn't exist in diplomacy). I've never won a game and judging by the bets most of us our probably beginners. A juggernaut alliance, which seems to be the relationship between russia and Turkey, is extremely dangerous, especially when russia has a strong foothold in the north. These are just observations to make everyone else more aware of what might happen based on whether or not there is an alliance against russia.
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: i was just saying that i am not much of a threat. as you mentioned, there is usually an "early emerging leader" their leads don't usually last. i have alliances with everyone around me, and will soon not be able to expand very well.
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: ...Unless you stab someone, which is what normally happens and is *likely* to happen. Not making any accusations, you can still expand into Austria.
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: yeah, i forgot to mention austria, i don't have an alliance against them. i was thinking of a stab but prefer to give a warning to neighbors. i only do a stab if i need to, or if the person is way bigger than i am.
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: hey guys, i made this game so please let me win.
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: actually let's all team up on italy because we're waiting on him lmao
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: "Let's all team up on Italy" is not how I've heard the strategy before :p
Russia: beginner with no experience or not, you're a threat by having 7 units turn 2. Even if you don't know what to do with them, we still have to find a way around them :p
Turkey: you don't get the win just cuz you made the game :p but a juggernaut is a great way to attempt to earn it, so let's see what happens!
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: nah dude. i definitely deserve to win the game.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: and i only want to team up on italy because we're all waiting on italy to ready up.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: okay not anymore yay italy <3
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: I could still be taken down though. I am not invincible or anything like that. I have 4 potential enemies. They together have more than twice my sc count.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: chill out guys. just play the game out!
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: And are all a few years worth of moves away. But patience, take the game as it happens. Can I just say how much more enjoyable this game is when people talk? A couple of my other games are near silent and that's not near as interesting
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: i just don't want to get killed early because people consider me a threat.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: actually, yeah, that's true. let's keep talking about russia. so, how are you russia?
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: He's probably cold. And super muscular from wrestling all those bears.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: good, my expansion is going well. so how is it down south?
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: it's pretty good down here. i got camels and a lot of oil. im rich af.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: Send us some of those tan curvy chicks too bruh
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm getting pretty good at stitching white flags together, if anyone needs any
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: My citizens are all wimps though. Thy keep complaining about how I killed their families, took their food, and make them work despite their frost bite.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: nah man, aren't you happy with those blonde hair, blue eyed women?
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm a russian, not a nazi... I love them anyway though.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: im talking to germany
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: We Germans are just trying to have a wild and crazy sex party
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: Can I come?
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: If any body is going it is Austria as we are the closest to the Germans
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: we have vodka though.
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: and we have hot arab women soooooo
24 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1902: you can come too. we also have moose.
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Those Arab chicks are down for anything. ANYTHING
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: oh yeah they are ;)
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Just as I predicted, my lea would not last.
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: you still have 6 sc.....
24 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm not leading though.
25 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: as everone seems worried about turkey and i's juggernaut, i would just like to point out that the fg alliance is just as big as we are.
25 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1903: let's stop arguing about who has more sc's and who doesn't. just play the freaking game out like it's supposed to be played out. we'll see in the end which alliances are better and which aren't. for now, just chill out and play.
25 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1903: Yeah, part of the fun is not knowing what's coming and adapting as the game goes forward. Talking is good, revealing your whole hand from the start spoils some of that
25 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: i'm sorry. :(
29 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: You just need more practice and playtime. Helpful hint: announcing to the world hour plans isn't a good plan until you've already won. Otherwise people can band together and stop you
29 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: i only mentioned it once, and by that time it was obvious. the fact that neither of us tried going for bs near the beginning kind of hinted at it.
01 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1909: you guys have been EXTREMELY cooperative... report for meta/multi-gaming? lol
01 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1910: That's a serious accusation, especially considering talking to allies is a key element of the game. We have decided to help each other, and we talk; keeps the pressure on you :P
