Cheers guys | |
Fucking assholes in France and Russia!
I set cancel immediately when there was a NMR. I left it up for three years, at which point the game had substantially progressed and it was clear that Russia was not going to cancel.
Only an asshole solo that shit!
I believe it's fair (and expected) to cancel when a player doesn't show up, but it's not fair for a power to take advantage of it, refuse to cancel/draw, and then only put up the draw flag once they start losing. So, I wasn't going to draw in 1906 because of the NMRs when Russia hadn't been interested in it until he started losing. At that point, I'd only draw if the board merits a draw or if there were another CD that changed the outcome from draw to win, and neither one was the case.
And, frankly, I didn't get a solo because of the CDs. I grew substantially, and was clearly going to be part of any draw as a result, but could easily have been pushed back well before 18. I realize that your position in Turkey wasn't one that gave you much of a role in stopping the solo, but if you're honest, you'll conclude that the solo instead of the draw was a result of tactics between players who were submitting orders every turn. Anyway, I'm sorry that you're upset, but hopefully we'll get to play each other again sometime in a game that does a better job of meeting your expectations. |
|
Fine because only you and Russian had a game. Think about it...
You do realize that I set cancel, right? I'm not sure what else you'd have me do. I can't force Russia to cancel the game. The only thing I can do is to grant Russia an undeserved draw in 1906, and that's not a fair result; he didn't earn a draw. He had plenty of chances to earn it, but was unable to do so, and only asked for a draw once he had lost. I think your proper beef is with the player who refused to cancel, not with me. |
|
No, with the player who solo that.
It was your choice, be happy. I don't honor that. |
