Game won by MrBrightside (0 D X)
15 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: Just would like to remind everyone that 12 SCs + my 6 + New York's 4 + Florida's 4 is a really big number.
15 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: Still not close enough for a solo.
15 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: Solos are quite hard on this map. Like any game, it's not something to press your luck with, but it is uncommon
15 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: Exactly why I make alliances the way I do. Nobody can win easily, and that's still true even if I take the East Coast.
15 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: The bigger problem is the Texas-Heartland cooperation. That sets up the bigger number.
15 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: Yet neither of us will easily get the solo.
16 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: I'm still new to Diplomacy but the last time I played this, Heartland won easily after taking out Florida. It's hard to oppose anyone with 20 armies.
16 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: Lol agreed, especially when has has the open opportunity to stab TX
16 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2003: My build centers are too far removed for a quick stab. The rest of my units are even farther. Like I've been saying, this game is set up so that neither Texas nor I can reasonably win.

That said, BC is looking a bit handsy up there in the north
21 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: 5 way draw anyone?
21 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: Who are the two that won't make it?
21 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: New York and Quebec, I would assume
21 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: I'm okay with a draw if it is unanimous.
21 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: Right now, I'm not against a draw. May change if I think I have a shot against BC though :P
22 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: Uh Quebec's totally okay with a draw for some reason. Weird, I know.
22 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: yeah sure i'll draw
27 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2006: I'm guessing we are not drawing?
27 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2006: Heartland is the leader.
27 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2006: While I fully support the elimination of BC, as he's stopped entering moves, it would put Heartland dangerously close to the solo
27 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2006: Although I agree with Peru that heartland is the leader, an additional draw order from Peru would put a bit more pressure on Heartland to draw.
27 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 2006: Whoa I am still here, I just missed a year. I'm going to fight til the end! Sorry about that.
07 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2009: That Manifest Destiny, though
07 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Nooo
Damn NMR D:
09 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2009: 4 left...

Heartland; You soloing? Or do you plan on drawing
10 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2010: And Heartland decides to solo off of a CD. Yay :D
10 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2010: Who CD'd???
10 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2010: BC.
Not really off of a CD, but a terribly spotty showing
10 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2010: Ah, true.
10 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: He left with how many SCs left? He left because it was game over for him. Come on, Cuba. Don't be like that. I'm at 30 SCs for a reason.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: How about this, buddy? I'll pull back and get to 32 SCs. This game is mine, but if you want to be better than a terrible spotty showing, you find a nook or cranny and come after me.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: Thought I had responded.
I've no issue with you soloing off of BC, the only thing that bugs me is that you told us you would draw, causing Texas to act foolishly.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: This game might as well be called Deception.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: I'm not oblivious to the nuances of a press game.
It just seems cheap to say you'll draw because of someone's spotty showing only to ensure that you can solo
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: Fair point. Once I acheived Manifest Destiny (I just wanted to say that, even at the risk of sounding pretentious) I figured I wasn't too far away.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: I am not sure Heartland could have been stopped. BC was less than helpful to stopping Heartland, who did play a great game. While I wish I'd done far better, I am also glad I didn't get eliminated.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: I tried, alright. It was a clearly failed attempt though. oh well. such is life.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: You and I agreed to leave each other alone so we could go conquer our own coasts. I had an easier time with it. I think if your job was easier and mine more difficult, it'd be reversed right now.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: The game was won! What happened???
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: Heartland pulled back.
32 centers is a solo on Modern, 33 for Fall IV
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: I think you're right Heartland. Good game to everyone!
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: The irony of the colors isn't lost on me, though. Blue invading grey.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: Wow, I didn't even think about it! The last battle in that war was a victory - for the South in Texas.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: In Galveston, 6 hours from where I live. My betrayal of Texas is more about taking my home state than it was about winning. I don't win this map unless I take Texas first (or last).
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: This game really has been fun, though. I guess I capitalized on the most mistakes because any one of us could have taken this game.
12 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2011: My face when I just now discovered that Chicago can send fleets to Missouri........
12 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2011: And I picked the wrong coast for Milwaukee.
12 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2011: Just end it Heartland...
13 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2011: And now we wait while Texas continues to let Heartland hold out for a bigger share of the pot...
14 Feb 14 UTC Good game, all!
14 Feb 14 UTC Good game ell.
Good alliances, Peru!
