11 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1995: GameMaster: PayCheck was banned: multi/meta. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!

25 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1998: Let's see now - Mean ole Rome has it out for itty bitty Spain. And, alas, it is possible that the sun shall finally set on Iberia - but, wait, what do we see? Will Tunis fall to the fighting Pharaoh?

And Bulgaria, a tiny cut of support and snip, she too will fall.

And looked, do I see, not one, not two, but three unoccupied Italian supply centres bordering what seem to be less than friendly states?

Romey old fellow - if you call off your attack, I'm willing to help. What do you say? Can we let bygones be bygones?

Toodles. Enrico Guadelupe Guillermo Ossaga del Andalucia y los pais Francisco.

PS: You can call me EGGO for short.
25 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1998: Didn't GERMANY used to be called the HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE at one time? So, if GERMANY were to attack ITALY, it wouldn't be really an invasion. It would kinduv be like taking back what was really once yours.

GERMANY, can little ole Spain entice you to revisit Rome? I know that it has gone to seed and the trains don't run on time, but the food is great and the women gorgeous. And let's face it, GERMAN food and GERMAN opera is the reason you are so aggressive in the first place.

We're root'n and toot'n for ya - and ITALY - consider yourself raspberried.

EGGO
25 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1998: As amusing as your comments are Spain, Italy is a trusted ally of Germany, and that will remain the case for many years to come. A fight against Italy would be suicidal as just in case you didn't notice, he is the strongest player on the board. Stop trying to save your own bacon :P

Besides, Germany has other wars to fight. That's right Britain, I'm coming for you now! The German people demand revenge for WW1 and WW2.
25 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1998: And so the mad kaiser did destroy all of Europe, establishing a new Rome.
How pointlessly tragic.
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: wow....cant believe the whole board turns on me at the same time....you guys must really be worried about me....
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: It is pure unadulterated jealousy. That's it; that's all. You are smarter, better looking, and have a certain je ne sais quoi that drives the rest of us mental.
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: yeah, i guess so.....and all your whining seemed to pay off, huh?
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: Have you seen the animated movie "Puss'n Boots" staring Antonio Banderas - when he does that thing with his eyes he is absolutely irresistible. My whinging might not be as pretty but maybe it's effective - either that or the smell - I've been known to skip bathing for a month or two (or three or four). The smell keeps away smaller rodents and most of the neighbours. I was actually rather surprised that you coped as well as you did.
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: its only a game, and its not the first time i have been ganged up on....i play this game pretty well
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: but i do know who orchestrated the whole deal....i dont blame ukraine, we have been fighting since the beginning, but germany was a good ally, i didnt think he would turn on me like that
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: You're absolutely right - GERMANY has absolutely no backbone whatsoever and the minute I showed up I managed to con him into throwing all his promises to the wind and to go after ITALY with a vengeance. I'm good - its hypnosis don't you know - he isn't even aware that he is actually attacking you. As long as I don't accidentally snap my fingers he will continue to do my very bidding. I don't ask him to cook or to sing though - what he does to food and what he does to opera is unbearable to think about.
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: Talking like that right after Germany effectively stands by your side won't help your cause too much.

Also, I'm not sure if there was any kind of deal. It just seemed to be convenient for me: I was fearing your growing power in the Mediterranean. And as you would do to any powerful neighbour or rival, you attack them, if need be.
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: Sorry Italy :(

I wasn't planning to attack you, but the opportunity to unite the entire map against the strongest player on the board was too tempting to pass up. Being able to unite 4 players against 1 is a very attractive proposition, and being blocked in by Britain and Poland meant that only avenue of expansion, was through your territory.

Anyway, once again, my apologies Italy.
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: Also, Spain may want to remember his place given that I now block the only route out of Spain, and he would be unable to expand without my consent.
28 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: No hard feelings Germany. I knew when you didn't answer that something was up. I'm not bitter, but Spain's begging is pathetic and sickens me.
31 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 2000: Wow!!! Look at all them firecrackers in and around the Mediterranean. Our we being attacked by terrorists or something? Where might I buy some popcorn?
31 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 2000: yeah, and all you can do for the rest of the game is just sit back.....you are pathetic!
31 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 2000: I know - it's sad - I tried to buy myself a personality but I hadn't realised that they nolonger accept passetas and for some reason no one want to take the few euros I've got - something about the way the colour bleeds off the banknotes when they get wet makes people suspicious.
